Pieviev Pet Food Mat 40x60 cm – Non-Slip Silicone Feeding Mat for Cats & Dogs

What it is

The Pieviev Pet Food Mat is a 40x60 cm, food-grade silicone mat designed to catch spills and reduce mess during mealtimes for both cats and dogs. Its 1 cm raised edge helps trap food and water, providing a practical surface for two bowls or larger bowls in one place.

What problem it tackles

If you’re tired of dirty floors after every meal, this mat aims to contain dry and wet food scraps while keeping bowls from sliding around. It’s fully waterproof and features raised textures that minimise movement, which can be particularly useful for active pets.

Key strengths

The mat is made from odourless, food-grade silicone that’s compatible with a variety of feeding setups, including elevated feeders, water fountains and automatic feeders. It’s easy to clean—rinse, wipe, or pop in the dishwasher for a deeper clean. The surface is quick-drying and, when not in use, you can roll it up for compact storage.

What could be better

On first look, its size suits many households, but it is still a single, fairly open surface. It may not cover larger feeding areas or accommodate unusually shaped bowls without some overlap. If you prioritise a larger work area or textured patterns beyond basic spill containment, you might want to compare with mats offering different textures or dimensions.

Who it’s for

This mat suits households with cats, dogs, or multiple pets who feed on the floor or with standard bowls. It works well where spill containment is desired and where a simple, wipe-clean solution is preferable to more elaborate feeding stations.

When it makes sense to buy

Consider this mat if you want a practical, low-maintenance solution that protects floors and reduces cleaning after meals, especially in homes with energetic pets or where two bowls need to sit together. It also offers a straightforward option if you’re using assorted feeders or want compatibility with a variety of feeding arrangements.

When it might not be the best choice

If you require a larger surface area than 40x60 cm or need a mat with additional grips for particularly aggressive feeders, you might find this option a bit modest. If your meals involve very irregular bowl shapes, you may need to assess whether two bowls comfortably fit side by side.

What to check before buying

Make sure the mat’s dimensions fit your feeding area and that your bowls will sit stably on the raised-edge surface. If you’re using a dishwasher, confirm it’s dishwasher-safe for deeper cleans and that you have typical space in the kitchen for a roll-up storage solution.

Practical usage example

Imagine a busy morning with two bowls—one for kibble and one for water. The raised edge holds the rimmed bowls in place, while any spill stays contained on the mat. A quick wipe cleans away crumbs, or a quick cycle in the dishwasher handles a deeper clean before the next meal.

Final verdict

Is it worth it?

Worth considering if you want a sturdy, easy-to-clean mat that helps contain messes and fits a two-bowl setup without complicating your feeding area.
