## Description

This automatic fish feeder from Petbank handles regular portions for home aquariums, offering programmable feeds and a moisture-proof hopper to keep pellets and granules dry. It is suited for owners who need reliable scheduled feeding while away or for maintaining consistent portions during busy days.

## Key Points

The feeder includes 16 separate compartments that deliver up to 15 individual meals, with each cell holding about 2 g of food, which helps maintain portion control and reduces overfeeding. It supports three feed times per day and up to three compartments per feeding, and the display lets you set cycles every one to four days, or trigger a manual feed when you want to interact with your fish. The outer casing is designed to seal after each dispense to protect the food from humidity and clogging, and the unit accepts a variety of dry foods such as pellets, granules and small powder, according to the manufacturer.

## Technical Specifications

- **Name: Petbank CY-109 Automatic Fish Feeder**
- Battery: 700 mAh rechargeable battery, USB Type-C charging cable included
- Compartments: 16 grids, up to 2 g per grid
- Feeding schedule: up to 3 feeds per day, up to 3 compartments per feed
- Installation: adjustable clamp base or suction cup for tank lid mounting

## Usage Recommendations

Install the feeder using the adjustable clamp for open-top tanks or the suction cup on glass or a lid if the aquarium design allows. Place food only in the designated compartments and avoid filling the outlet compartment to prevent jams. For powdered food test a small amount first to check flow, because very fine powders may compact if overly damp.

## Positive Aspects

The USB-rechargeable battery removes the need for frequent disposable batteries and should recharge in around three hours, offering one to two months of operation depending on usage patterns. The sealed dispensing opening and moisture-resistant design reduce the chance of clumping in humid environments, which is useful for coastal homes or planted tanks. Consider that the feeder is not intended for shrimp food or flakes intended to float, so check food type compatibility before use.
