Peckish 60050105 Complete Seed and Nut Wild Bird Food, 12.75kg, No Mess

The 12.75kg Peckish Complete Seed and Nut mix is made for feeding wild birds in the garden throughout the year. Its no-mess format has the seed husks removed, helping reduce waste around the feeding area while giving visiting birds access to the seed.

Calvita, a natural supplement containing calcium and vitamins, is included to help support birds’ overall health. The mix is also intended to attract a broad range of familiar garden birds.

Key features

This seed and nut mix brings together a varied food option for wild birds, with the practical benefit of husk-free seeds. Because the husks have been removed, birds are not left with them to discard around the feeding spot. That makes this a useful alternative to a husk-on mix when keeping the area tidier and reducing seed waste are priorities.

The blend contains Calvita, a natural nutrient supplement with calcium and vitamins to help improve birds’ overall health. It is suitable for feeding all year round, so you can keep the same mix available through changing seasons rather than choosing a different food for each part of the year.

Best use cases

Use the mix to feed wild birds in your garden and encourage visits from species including robins, blackbirds, house sparrows, long-tailed tits, bullfinches, great tits, chaffinches, goldfinches and song thrushes. Dunnocks are also among the birds it is intended to attract. The mix may suit a garden where you want to offer food to a range of species, rather than selecting a feed aimed at just one type of bird.

The husk-free format is particularly relevant where discarded seed shells and avoidable waste around the feeding area are a concern. As the food is suitable throughout the year, it can form part of a regular garden feeding routine in any season.

Everyday use

For a typical garden feeding routine, offer the mix in your usual wild-bird feeding area and replenish it as needed. The 12.75kg pack provides a substantial supply for ongoing use, while the all-year suitability means the same mix can remain part of your routine across the seasons. A variety of visiting birds can make a garden feeding spot more engaging to watch, with the listed species ranging from robins and sparrows to goldfinches and song thrushes.

Compared with a mix that leaves seed husks behind, Peckish’s no-mess approach focuses on reducing that leftover material. It is a practical distinction for anyone choosing bird food with the tidiness of the feeding area in mind, as well as the range of birds they hope to attract.
