## Description

This solar-powered fairy light string from ooklee brings subtle warm-white illumination to gardens, patios and events while drawing all its energy from sunlight. With a flexible copper wire, 100 LEDs across 10 metres and eight selectable lighting modes, these lights are aimed at adding ambient sparkle to outdoor and indoor spaces with low running cost.

## Key Points

The string includes an upgraded 800 mAh rechargeable battery and a more efficient solar panel, which the manufacturer says charges in 6–8 hours of daylight to supply 8–14 hours of lighting overnight. The cable is a pliable copper wire that can be wrapped around banisters, shaped into centrepieces or tucked among foliage, and the IP44 rating covers both the lights and the solar panel so they withstand rain. There are two switches for power and mode selection, and a single mode button cycles through the eight available lighting patterns to suit different moods.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **ooklee Solar Fairy Lights 10 m 100 LEDs**
- Length: 10 metres (33 ft)
- LEDs: 100 warm white LEDs
- Battery capacity: 800 mAh (rechargeable)
- Modes: 8 lighting modes
- Ingress protection: IP44 for lights and solar panel
- Charging time: 6–8 hours sunlight
- Working time: 8–14 hours (according to the manufacturer)

## Benefits

These lights use solar energy so there is no need for mains wiring or replacement batteries, which keeps installation simple and ongoing costs low. The warm-white LEDs create a cosy atmosphere that suits evening entertaining and decorative displays. The thin copper wire is discreet once installed, allowing the tiny LEDs to appear as individual points of light rather than a bulky cable. For seasonal décor, wedding tables or stringing along a fence, the different modes offer variety from steady glow to twinkle effects.

## Usage Recommendations

Position the solar panel where it receives direct sunlight for most of the day, ideally tilted towards midday sun to improve charging efficiency. For longer life and consistent brightness, avoid placing the panel in deep shade or behind dense foliage. The wire bends easily so take care when shaping narrow curves to prevent kinking. Consider a test run before an event to confirm the selected mode and expected runtime. Note that battery performance and running time may vary with weather and seasonal daylight; the quoted durations are provided by the manufacturer.
