Description:

This compact wireless shutter remote lets you trigger Olympus and Panasonic cameras from a distance, reducing camera shake and enabling long exposures and group shots with greater control. It works wirelessly up to around 80 m according to the manufacturer and also supports a wired connection for single-frame release or bulb exposures.

Key Points

The remote supports four shooting modes including single shot, continuous burst, bulb for long exposures and a 3 second delay for self-portraits. Autofocus is supported, so you can focus with the camera and then trigger a shot without touching the body. Operated on 2.4 GHz digital radio technology, it offers strong anti-interference performance and no directional restrictions, allowing control from different positions around the camera. 📷 The receiver can be used independently as a wired shutter release when a cable connection is preferred or required.

Technical Specifications

  • Name: Wireless Shutter Remote Release Control (replaces RM-UC1 and DMW-RSL1)
  • Radio frequency: 2.4 GHz
  • Maximum operating distance: approx 80 m / 262 ft
  • Compatible camera series: Olympus E-M1, E-M5 Mark II, E-M10 Mark II, Pen-F, E-PL8 and many Panasonic models including GH4, GH5, FZ1000, FZ300, FZ2500
  • Release modes: single, continuous, BULB, 3 s delay

Usage Recommendations

For tripod-mounted long exposures use the bulb mode and trigger the receiver wired to avoid accidental disconnects during long exposures. If you plan to work in crowded areas with many wireless devices, keep the transmitter and receiver line of sight as clear as possible to help maintain a stable link. For action or continuous shooting set the transmitter to continuous mode and ensure the camera drive mode is configured accordingly. 🔋 Consider that battery life will vary with usage intensity and environmental conditions according to the manufacturer, so carry spare cells for extended shoots.

The Best of This Model

This unit combines wireless freedom with the fallback option of a wired connection, which can be useful when shooting in low battery situations or when stricter timing is needed. It replaces common manufacturer remotes RM-UC1 and DMW-RSL1 while maintaining core functionality, offering a practical and cost-effective alternative for mirrorless photographers who need remote control and long exposure capabilities.
