## Description

This heavy-duty leather gauntlet provides robust protection for tasks that involve open flames or high temperatures, such as tending a wood burner, using an oven or working at the barbecue. It combines thick cow split leather with a padded inner lining to shield hands while still allowing manual dexterity for handling tools and grates.

## Key Points

The gloves are built from 1.2 mm cow split leather that the manufacturer describes as durable and resistant to sparks and heat, offering protection during welding, grilling and fireplace chores. There is a soft, thickened lining between the leather and the hand which adds comfort and an extra barrier against heat 🧤. Flexibility has been prioritised so you can grip tools and lift lids without excessive awkwardness. The pair measures 14 inches in length which helps protect the wrist and lower forearm when reaching into ovens or stoking fires. Bright red colouring makes them easy to spot in a busy workspace.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **OLSON DEEPAK Leather Heavy Duty Heat Resistant Safety Gauntlet Gloves**
- Material: **1.2 mm cow split leather**
- Length: **14" (one pair)**
- Colour: Red
- Intended use: Welding, fireplace, oven, woodburner, stoves, BBQ according to the manufacturer.

## Usage Recommendations

Use these gauntlets for short to medium duration tasks where direct contact with hot surfaces, embers or sparks is likely. They are practical for moving hot pans, adjusting grill coals and handling firewood. For welding with prolonged exposure to very high temperatures or radiant heat, consider combining them with additional protective sleeves or clothing that meet specific welding standards. Also consider that, while the lining increases comfort, prolonged immersion in intense heat may still transmit warmth over time, so brief, repeated handling is preferable to long continuous exposure 🔥.

## Positive Aspects

The design balances protection and control, meaning users can perform common domestic and outdoor heat-related tasks without sacrificing grip. The extra length reduces the risk of wrist burns when reaching into stoves or barbecues. According to the manufacturer, quality assurance and returns support are available for customers in the UK. The vivid red finish helps keep the gloves visible among tools and wood, and the soft interior reduces abrasion during repeated use.
