Tech specs
- Name: OFFCUP Magnetic Fraction Puzzle
- Type: Fraction manipulatives
- Material: Wood and ABS
- Colour: 9 colours
- Format: Magnetic circles and number tiles
Benefits
The coloured segments make fraction parts obvious at a glance, which helps children build mathematical intuition rather than memorising rules. The magnetic numerals and fraction circles encourage participation during group activities, and the smooth, burr-free finish reduces the risk of small injuries according to the manufacturer. The design also supports colour recognition and cooperative play, making it useful for one-to-one tutoring or small classroom groups.
How to use it
Start with simple halves and quarters, then combine segments to show equivalent fractions and simple sums. Use the set on a metal surface to demonstrate regrouping visually, or let children assemble circles by hand to strengthen fine motor skills. It’s worth noting that pieces are small and should be supervised with very young children, according to common safety practice.
What’s included
The pack contains magnetic fraction circles in nine colours and matching magnetic numerator and denominator tiles, supplied to support progressive learning from preschool to early primary stages. The materials are described by the maker as durable and easy to assemble, so the set can be used repeatedly in classroom activities.
