## Description

## Key features

These NXGKET walkie talkies are rechargeable PMR446 radios designed for practical outdoor use, offering long range communication and simple controls. With built-in 1800mAh lithium polymer batteries and USB Type-C charging, they promise all-day operation and convenient top-up charging in the field, which suits camping, hiking and short expeditions.

## Tech specs

- Name: NXGKET Walkie Talkies for Adults
- Type: PMR446 license-free two way radio
- Capacity: 1800mAh
- Channels: 16
- Colour: Black

## Why it’s worth it

The set focuses on clear, usable performance rather than unnecessary bells and whistles. Upgraded soft rubber antennas and TCXO stabilisation aim to keep transmissions steady, and manufacturer claims suggest up to 5 km range in open areas and about 1.5 km in towns. Auto squelch and larger speakers help reduce background hiss, so messages come through intelligibly when you need them.

## How to use it

Set both units to the same channel and subcode then press PTT to talk, it is that straightforward. VOX hands free and auto power saving make hands-off use possible on longer outings, and the built-in LED torch serves as a simple emergency light. It’s a practical choice when you want a reliable pair of radios for group coordination on walks or at campsites.

## Practical note

It has non-removable rechargeable batteries which are safer and more economical than single use cells according to the manufacturer, though you should consider bringing a power bank for extended trips away from mains charging.
