NOVLOCK Heavy Duty Combination Padlock 8mm 🔒

This robust combination padlock from NovLock brings weatherproof protection and cut resistance to gates, sheds and storage units, offering convenient keyless access with a simple one-hand release. The heavy duty design with an 8 mm shackle gives clear security advantages for outdoor use, and the weatherproof finish helps it resist corrosion in exposed conditions.

Key Points

The lock features a solid zinc alloy body paired with a hardened steel shackle to withstand physical attacks and forced entry attempts. It includes a concealed code window on the underside to prevent casual observers from seeing your combination, and instructions for setting or changing the code are supplied. The mechanism allows quick opening with a single touch, which is practical when you have both hands full or need fast access.

This model has been tested for outdoor durability and passed a 180 hour salt spray test according to the manufacturer, so it handles coastal and harsh environments better than many standard padlocks. Note that the lock is relatively large and the shackle diameter may not fit every latch or small locker aperture. Consider the internal clearance of your hasp before fitting.

🔒 The lock is sold as a 1-pack in black and comes with a five year warranty from NovLock, which indicates the brand’s confidence in product longevity. 🌧️ The weatherproof construction makes it suitable for year-round exterior use, resisting rain, frost, dust and corrosion.

Usage Recommendations

For gates, fences and shed doors choose a hasp that provides sufficient clearance for the 8 mm shackle and the overall body size. If used on lockers or cabinets, check the internal space of the latch to ensure the shackle closes fully. The hidden code panel helps maintain privacy during use, and setting a memorable but non-obvious combination reduces the chance of accidental lockouts.

When installing outdoors, position the lock to minimise direct contact with ground water and to reduce exposure to road salt where possible. Occasional rinsing of grit and light lubrication of the shackle can help keep the mechanism moving smoothly in very dusty or seaside locations. Consider that while the lock resists many common attacks and the manufacturer states it is cut-resistant, very heavy-duty cutting tools may still compromise the shackle under sustained attack.
