NEXVIN 16 Pack Solar Flickering Dancing Flame Lights – Waterproof Outdoor Torch Lights
Product description
What it is
NEXVIN offers a 16-pack of solar flame lights designed to mimic a dancing flame without an open flame. Each unit uses 12 LEDs to create a warm, amber glow for outdoor spaces such as gardens, driveways and pathways. The array is powered by a small solar panel and consumes energy from rechargeable batteries, offering a safe and low‑maintenance decoration option for evenings outdoors.
How it works
These lights integrate a light sensor so they switch on automatically at dusk and off during daylight. The solar panel charges a battery (2/3 AA, 400 mAh) by day, storing energy for use in the evening. Installation is straightforward—no wiring required. They can be placed on lawns, soil or flat surfaces with direct sunlight on the panel.
What stands out
On paper, the kit emphasises durability and weather resistance: the units are made from ABS with an IP65 waterproof rating, meaning they should cope with rain and damp conditions typical of UK outdoor spaces. The flame effect offers a decorative alternative to real flames for gatherings like barbecues or garden parties, without the fire risk.
What might be limiting
Dependence on sunlight means performance varies with weather and the amount of sun exposure. The stated 8–10 hours of illumination assumes a full daytime charge, which may be affected by cloud cover or shorter days in winter. Battery life and light output can also decrease over time, without specifics on cycle life, it’s prudent to expect some aging with heavy use.
Who it’s for
It suits households seeking low-maintenance, wire-free garden decor that provides ambient lighting for patios, pathways, or driveways. It’s practical for events and casual evenings outdoors where a candle-like effect is desirable but without the open flame.
Who it isn’t for
If your space receives minimal direct sunlight, or you need very bright illumination for security, these lights may not meet expectations. Also, if you require a long, predictable run-time through short winter days, the 8–10 hour figure may be optimistic in gloomy conditions.
What to check before buying
- Ensure a sunny installation spot so the panel can charge effectively.
- Consider the distribution of the 16 units for even lighting along a path or border.
- Check the battery condition if you’re buying used or older stock, since rechargeable AA variants can degrade over time.
- Remember these are decorative lights, they aren’t designed to substitute high-lumen outdoor lighting.
Practical usage example
Imagine a quiet garden party along a gravel path. Place a row of the NEXVIN lights at regular intervals to create a soft, flickering line of warm light that guides guests without harsh glare. The automatic on/off saves you from fiddling with switches after sunset, and you won’t worry about candles or wiring with rain on the horizon.

Final verdict
If you value a safe, maintenance-light decorative option for outdoor spaces and you have reasonable sun exposure, the NEXVIN 16 Pack offers a practical approach to ambient lighting.
