Why it makes sense
The GaN chipset reduces heat and keeps the plug smaller than many older adapters, which helps when packing a kit for shoots or trips. It charges NEEWER V mount batteries faster than usual, with manufacturer timings quoted for common packs. Bear in mind that actual charge time varies with battery age and ambient temperature.
Getting the most from it
It’s a good fit if you need a single charger to cover a laptop and camera accessories, without carrying multiple bulky adapters. For longer shoots carry a spare cable and consider a powered hub if you need more ports. If you prioritise absolute airport compatibility check local mains plugs and adapters before travelling.
