## Description

## At a glance

The NEEWER BASICS Octagonal Softbox is a practical 90 cm modifier that softens continuous LED output for portrait, product and video work. It combines a silver interior, two diffusers and a honeycomb grid to deliver even, controllable light with minimal fuss, making it a straightforward choice for content creators and hobbyist photographers.

## Tech specs

- Name: NEEWER BASICS Octagonal Softbox
- Size: 90 cm
- Mount: Bowens Mount
- Included: internal diffuser, external diffuser, honeycomb grid, carry bag
- Compatibility: Aputure 150c, Godox SL60w and multiple NEEWER LED models

## Benefits

This softbox balances value and function, offering softer falloff and more flattering skin tones according to the manufacturer. The octagonal shape gives a more natural catchlight in eyes compared with rectangular options. The two-layer diffusion reduces hotspots while the grid narrows spill for targeted shaping on set.

## Getting the most from it

Setup is one press and the ribs lock into place, so you can move from kit bag to shoot quickly. The included grid helps sculpt light for headshots and interviews, while the dual diffusers suit full‑length and tabletop setups. It’s a good fit if you need reliable, low-cost light control without complex assembly.

This softbox folds down and packs into the supplied bag for transport. Note that full performance depends on the light unit used, and some trimming of stands or mounts may be needed to suit particular fixtures.
