## Description

This adapter ring from NEEWER lets you attach 37mm lenses and 58mm filters to phone cages with a 17mm threaded mount, improving mobile video setups for creators who use external optics and filter effects. It is useful for on‑the‑go filming with stabiliser rigs such as the PA062 cage, offering a compact way to expand a phone’s lens and filter options.

## Key Points

The ring supports Beastgrip 37mm lenses including various wide, anamorphic and telephoto attachments, allowing more creative framing and optical effects while shooting video. It also mounts 37mm and 58mm NEEWER filters such as UV, ND, variable ND, CPL and diffusion types, which helps control exposure and colour in changing light conditions. The knurled, non‑slip surface enables easy fitting and removal of the adapter from a 17mm threaded phone cage, so swaps are quick during shoots. Made from anodised aluminium, the adapter balances lightweight handling with enough rigidity for outdoor use, according to the manufacturer. Note that compatibility depends on the phone cage having a 17mm threaded lens mount, so confirm the cage model before assuming fit.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **NEEWER 17mm to 37mm & 58mm Lens Filter Adapter Ring PA062**
- Material: anodised aluminium
- Thread interface: 17mm cage mount to 37mm lens and 58mm filter
- Compatible lenses: Beastgrip 37mm lineup (wide, anamorphic, telephoto variants)
- Filter sizes accepted: 37mm and 58mm

## Usage Recommendations

Attach the adapter to a phone cage with the 17mm threaded mount, then screw on your chosen 37mm lens or 37mm/58mm filter. For variable ND or CPL filters, make small adjustments while monitoring exposure on your phone to avoid abrupt changes. When using anamorphic lenses, be mindful of aspect ratio changes and framing; check focus and alignment after any swap. Keep the knurled ring clean and free of grit to maintain smooth fitting and avoid cross‑threading.

## Advantages

The adapter extends a mobile rig’s optical options without adding excessive bulk, so it is practical for run‑and‑gun shooting and travel. It allows creative control with glass and filters that would normally be limited to dedicated camera systems. A small limitation to consider is that full mechanical compatibility relies on matching cage models and lens adapters, and extreme filter stacks may add slight vignetting depending on the phone camera and lens combination. 🧭📷
