This set of six moss poles from Remiawy helps climbing houseplants grow upwards by giving stems and aerial roots a moist, fibrous surface to cling to, improving vertical training and access to light. Ideal for species like monstera, philodendron and ivy, the kit also includes garden twist ties and jute rope so you can secure stems as they ascend.
Key Points
Each pole is made from natural coir moss wrapped around a reinforced PVC tube, offering water retention that encourages aerial roots to absorb moisture and nutrients more readily. The poles are stackable, so you can extend support as your plant grows without disturbing the root ball. The package contains six identical poles together with a 65 foot garden twist-tie roll and 16.4 foot jute rope for flexible staking options. 🌿
Technical Specifications
- Name: Remiawy Moss Pole 173 cm 68 Inch, 6 Pack
- Individual pole height: 15.6 inches including a 5 inch wooden stake
- Stackable maximum height: up to 68 inches
- Accessories included: 65.6 feet garden twist tie, 16.4 feet jute rope
- Core material: reinforced PVC tube
- Exterior material: natural coconut coir fibre
How to Use It
Insert the sharpened wooden stake end firmly into the compost near the plant stem. Wrap a soft tie or the supplied twist tie loosely around the stem and pole to guide the plant upward while avoiding constriction of new growth. When a single pole no longer reaches new leaves, add another pole section by slotting the hollow centre pieces together to increase height. 🌱
Practical Tips
Keep the coir surface moist when propagating aerial roots, as the natural fibre holds water and supports root attachment. According to the manufacturer, the PVC inner tube is rust-free and resists bending, so the structure should remain stable over time; however, for very heavy vines consider using more than one pole for extra support. The natural coir finish may shed a small amount of fibre during handling, so wear gloves if you prefer to avoid residue on hands. 🧤
