Morpilot Pet Carrier Bag – Portable Cat Carrier with Top and Side Openings
Product description
What kind of product is this and what does it solve
The Morpilot Pet Carrier Bag is a lightweight, foldable transport solution for cats and small dogs up to 9 kg. It combines practical portability with a design that aims to reduce travel stress for pets, and to make journeys easier for owners who need to move a pet between home and transport modes.
What stands out on paper
Sized at 18 x 12.5 x 14 inches, it offers a roomy interior for small pets while staying compact enough for car, train or plane travel. The bag features openings on the top and both sides with mesh ventilation to ensure airflow and visibility, which can help ease anxiety by letting pets observe their surroundings. An outer pocket provides space for toys or snacks, and a free blue collapsible bowl is included as a handy extra when you’re out and about.
Usage and practicality
The carrier can be carried as a handbag via a leather-style handle or worn as a shoulder bag with an adjustable strap, giving you flexible options depending on the situation. The frame includes reflective strips for low-light visibility, which adds a small safety margin when used in the evening. An important practical note: when using it in the car, you should fasten the seat belt to secure the bag and your pet.
What could be better or where it may fall short
On the downside, the space is described for pets up to 9 kg, if your cat or small dog is near that limit, you’ll want to measure carefully to ensure comfort and freedom of movement. The inside cushion is detachable for washing, which is convenient, but it’s not stated whether the cushion fabric is machine washable—hand washing is mentioned, which may be less convenient for busy owners.
Who it’s for
This carrier seems well-suited for urban pet owners who travel occasionally by car, train, or air and want a lightweight, foldable option for cats or small dogs who benefit from breathable air and visual contact with their surroundings. It could be a reasonable choice if you value quick setup, multiple carrying methods, and the ability to repurpose the bag as a temporary cage at home.
Who it isn’t ideal for
If you regularly transport a pet larger than 9 kg, or if you need a carrier designed for very long flights or high-security environments, this bag may not meet those needs. Also, if you prioritise absolute ease of cleaning and a fully machine-washable interior, the options described might feel limited.
When it makes sense to buy
Consider this bag if you want a compact, foldable carrier with good ventilation and easy access (top and side openings) and you’re comfortable with a bag that supports modest payloads within the 9 kg range. It also helps if you value the added features like reflective strips and the included bowl.
What to check before buying
Measure your pet’s size and weight to confirm it fits within the stated 9 kg limit, and check the bag’s internal dimensions against your pet’s measurements to avoid a cramped fit. Review how you’ll use it—whether you need a handheld option or a shoulder strap for longer carries—and consider how easy it is to clean the cushion.
How this compares in practice
Compared with rigid cages or heavier carriers, this Morpilot model prioritises travel convenience and portability. It sits in the practical middle, offering breathable mesh and multiple entry points without claiming to be a premium or airline-verified hard case. If you value a lightweight, flexible option for everyday trips and short trips, it can be a sensible compromise.
Final decision
Quick take for day-to-day use
If your priority is lightweight, versatile transport for a cat or small dog up to 9 kg, with good airflow and a couple of handy extras, this Morpilot bag is worth considering. It’s not the definitive choice for every scenario, but it aligns well with casual travel and home use where a soft, collapsible design suits your routine.
