## Description

## What this is
This is a fabric crate cover designed for medium-sized dog crates, particularly around 76 cm in length. It uses a poly-cotton fabric with a Teflon fabric protector to resist liquids, stains and oils. The cover aims to create a den-like, private space for your dog, which can help ease anxiety and reduce barking or chewing behaviours.

## How it fits your crate
The cover is sized to fit most 76 cm crates, including iCrate models 1530, 1530DD and New World models B30, B30DD. Exact dimensions are approximately 76.2 cm x 50 cm x 53.3 cm. It is designed to work with single, double and triple door crates, and features flaps that lift for adjustable visibility and ventilation. It does not accommodate top-door crates.

## Why you might choose this
If your aim is to create a calmer crate environment without heavy investment in electronics or training aids, this cover offers a straightforward approach. The privacy and den-like enclosure can help soothe dogs that are anxious when left alone or when traffic around the crate is loud. The fabric is lightweight, breathable and includes hook-and-loop tabs to keep it in place while still allowing airflow.

## What’s good about it
The Teflon fabric protector is a notable feature, helping spills bead up for easier cleaning and helping the cover stay looking newer longer. It’s machine washable and dryer friendly, which makes maintenance relatively simple for busy pet owners. The design is unobtrusive, with a grey designer print that blends into many home décors.

## What could be improved or limited
No top-door option is available, so if your crate has a top door, this cover won’t fit. While the protector helps with stains, heavy misuse or sharp objects could still lead to wear over time. Some owners may prefer more robust or padded alternatives for dogs with severe separation anxiety. It’s worth considering whether you want a cover that fully blocks light or one that preserves more natural ambient light for your dog.

## Who it suits best
This cover is well suited to households with standard 76 cm crates and dogs that respond to a calmer, enclosed space. It’s a practical choice for first-time crate users or pet owners on a budget who want a simple way to improve crate ambience and reduce barking. It may be less ideal for dogs that prefer continuous visibility or for crates used in high-traffic, outdoor, or very bright rooms where light control is less critical.

## When to buy and when to hold off
Consider purchasing if you’ve noticed your dog shows anxiety behaviours around the crate or when you’re away for short periods. If your dog is highly vocal or chews persistently, you might need to combine with other strategies rather than relying on a cover alone.

## What to check before buying
Verify that your crate is a close 76 cm size and that your crate’s door arrangement matches the compatible options. If you have a top-door crate, this cover won’t be suitable. Also consider whether you want a design that dims light and increases privacy or one that keeps more of the room visible.

## Practical use example
Imagine coming home to a calmer living room: the door flaps are lifted to allow a gentle view inside, a soft den-like corner remains private, and the dog retreating to the crate looks less stressed. Spills from a curious drink stay on the fabric surface rather than soaking into the liner, thanks to the protective coating.

## The bottom line — Is it worth it?
### Buying verdict
Worth considering if you prioritise a calmer crate environment, easy maintenance and a neat look that fits standard 76 cm crates. It won’t suit top-door crates and may fall short for dogs requiring more robust containment or high levels of privacy control. If you prioritise value-for-money, simplicity and a mood-improving crate space, this cover is a practical option.

## FAQ
- How easy is it to clean? It’s machine washable and dryer friendly, making routine cleaning straightforward.
- Will it fit my crate? It’s designed for most 76 cm crates, including specific iCrate and New World models, check the exact inner dimensions to be sure.
- Does it muffle barking completely? No, but many owners report a reduction in barking due to the den-like privacy.
