## Description

This waterproof dog car seat cover from MellowMates turns the back of an SUV or truck into a protected and comfortable area for large pets and multiple animals, while still allowing one or two passengers to ride. It combines a tear-resistant PU leather surface with a hard fibreboard base to resist scratches and support heavier dogs, making long journeys cleaner and more secure for everyone.

## Key Points

The cover is made from upgraded PU leather that resists water and is designed for easy cleaning, according to the manufacturer. Side flaps with zippers extend protection over doors and seat edges to reduce scratches and dirt transfer. A mesh window improves airflow and preserves contact between driver and pet, which can help reduce anxiety on the move. Practical extras include a foldable bowl and a waste-bag dispenser for quicker stops and tidier travel. One useful nuance is that strong support comes from the hard bottom board, so rigidity increases stability but can make the folded pack slightly bulkier than soft-only designs.

## Technical Specifications

- **Name: MellowMates Dog Car Seat Cover**
- Material: Upgraded PU leather, water-repellent surface
- Base: Hard fibreboard bottom, foldable design
- Width: 137 cm
- Load capacity: Up to 180 kg
- Extras: Mesh ventilation window, foldable feeding bowl, waste-bag dispenser, four storage pockets

## Practical Tips

Install the hammock configuration when you need full rear-seat protection and the extender option when you want extra floor space for pets. Use the zippered side flaps for trips where doors are likely to receive mud or claw marks. For older pets, keep the thick cushion in place to add impact absorption and reduce joint stress during travel. Clean spills with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry to avoid lingering odours.

## Positive Aspects

This model balances durability and comfort by pairing a robust, hard-bottom support with a soft cushioned top layer, which is helpful for heavier dogs or several animals travelling together. The foldable structure allows some versatility in seating arrangements and makes it possible to free up space for a passenger when required. Storage pockets and included accessories help keep treats, leads and waste bags close to hand, simplifying routine stops and in-car care.
