This set of 72 coloured pencils from Melifluo gives a wide palette for sketching, shading and detailed colouring work, held in a compact black zippered carry case for portability and organisation. The selection of vivid hues makes it easy to blend tones and experiment with layering when working on illustrations, adult colouring books or casual doodling.

Key Points

The pack includes 72 distinct colours that span reds, oranges, blues, yellows, greens and blacks, allowing smooth transitions and varied palettes for different projects. The cores are described by the manufacturer as soft yet break-resistant, which helps when applying pressure for richer pigment or when sharpening. The set also contains a beginner colouring booklet to help get started and a premium zipper case with individual slots to keep pencils organised and protected. 🎨

Usage Recommendations

Use light layers and gradual build-up of colour to achieve smoother blends and subtle gradients, especially when working with paper designed for coloured pencils. For more intense saturation, apply additional strokes over the same area and blend with a colourless blender or light overdraw. The zipped case keeps pencils organised so they are easy to take to classes, cafés or outdoor sketching sessions. ✏️

Benefits

The wide colour range reduces the need to mix too many adjacent tones, which speeds up colouring sessions and makes matching hues simpler. Having each pencil in its own slot prevents breakage and keeps tips aligned for quick selection. Note that, according to the manufacturer, the pigments are designed to resist fading over time, but final longevity will depend on storage and exposure to light. 🖌️
