## Description

Side zips expand this MATEIN cabin backpack from 24 to 30 litres, giving you extra room when a short trip calls for another layer or a larger wash bag. It measures 40 x 30 x 20 cm in its standard format and expands to 40 x 30 x 25 cm. At 0.8 kg, it is designed to carry as a backpack or attach to a suitcase.

## At a glance

The main compartment opens out by 180 degrees like a suitcase, making it easier to pack clothes and see what is inside. Internal elastic compression helps hold belongings in place, while a front pocket keeps frequently used items separate from the main packing space. Side compression buckles help keep the bag compact when you are carrying less.

Made from lightweight, water-resistant polyester, the backpack has padded, adjustable shoulder straps and breathable back padding. A chest buckle helps distribute pressure across the straps, and a luggage strap lets you secure it to a carry-on suitcase. Heavy-duty metal double zips and reinforced stitching complete the practical travel-focused design.

## Best use cases

The 24-litre format suits a compact overnight pack, while the expandable 30-litre capacity gives you more flexibility for a two- or three-day break, city trip or business journey. Pack clothing in the main compartment, use the elastic compression to keep it settled, and place smaller essentials in the front pocket for easier access while travelling.

Its 40 x 30 x 20 cm standard dimensions are aimed at under-seat cabin use, and the product is also described for use with airlines including Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air and Lufthansa. Airline baggage rules can vary, so use the relevant dimensions for the trip when planning how to pack. The expandable format is useful when you want a soft-sided backpack that can offer more space, rather than relying on a fixed-size case.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For a lighter load, keep the side zips closed and use the compression buckles to help the bag retain a compact shape. When extra packing space is useful, unzip the sides to expand the compartment, the expanded dimensions are 40 x 30 x 25 cm. The front pocket gives you a separate place for items you may want to reach without opening the main compartment.

On a journey with a wheeled cabin case, slide the backpack’s luggage strap over the suitcase handle. For carrying it on your back, adjust the padded shoulder straps and fasten the chest buckle. The convertible design also suits everyday use as a business backpack or daypack, so it can move between travel and daily routines.

## Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you want a cabin-size backpack that combines a structured, suitcase-style opening with the flexibility to expand for short trips. The 24–30-litre capacity, organised compartments and suitcase attachment strap make packing and moving through a journey more straightforward, while the backpack straps offer a hands-free alternative to carrying a small case. Choose it for overnight stays, city breaks or business travel when adaptable packing space is a useful part of your cabin bag.
