Over the paper it’s aimed at the kind of home routine where you’re carrying items up and down stairs, and you want something that’s easier to move than a rigid plastic hamper. It’s a woven cotton rope basket in a blue finish, supplied folded. That foldable design is the main theme: it should be simpler to transport, store away when you don’t need it, and reshape after unpacking (you can fill it with clothes or blankets to set the form). ## Key features that matter day to day Where this basket stands out is the combination of size, soft-woven material, and handles. - **Extra-large multipurpose storage**: the stated size is large enough for items like blankets, towels, laundry, kids’ and pet toys, and even things like a yoga mat. If your aim is “one basket to do several jobs”, this is built for that. - **Cotton rope woven construction**: it’s described as hand-woven from cotton rope, with claims around being chemical-free, dirt-repellent, and resistant to wear without pilling. It also says it’s soft without sharp edges—useful in homes with children and pets. - **Sturdy built-in handles**: reinforced stitched handles make it easier to lift from the top and carry around the house. - **Large opening**: the round basket has a larger top opening, so loading and grabbing items out should be less fiddly. - **Stair-friendly flexibility**: unlike a hard plastic hamper, the basket isn’t fixed rigidly. The description specifically suggests it can bend according to the way you walk, which is the practical benefit if you regularly move laundry up or down. One small caution: it’s not fixed like a hard hamper, so it may not suit you if you want something that keeps a perfectly rigid, upright shape at all times. ## Tech specs (from the product info) - **Type**: Foldable storage basket / laundry hamper - **Size**: 50 x 35 cm - **Capacity**: 68L - **Material**: Cotton rope - **Colour**: Blue - **Handles**: Reinforced stitched handles ## Pros, benefits, and where it shines **What you’ll notice quickly** is that it’s designed for real household carry-and-store routines. - **A genuine multipurpose pick** for laundry rooms, nurseries/kids rooms, and even living rooms where blankets and pillows tend to end up in one place. - **Safer feel for busy homes**: the “soft without sharp edges” angle matters if you’re moving it around kids’ spaces or you have pets. - **Easier stairs logistics**: if you do need to take laundry up and down stairs, the flexible basket concept is the reason to consider it. - **Space-saving when folded**: once you’re done with it, it’s meant to be easier to store away than a rigid bin. ## Potential downsides to consider before buying This one is fairly straightforward, but there are a couple of limitations worth thinking about. First, because the basket is foldable and not rigid, it may not give you the same “structured” look you’d expect from a hard laundry bin. If you prefer a crisp, upright presentation, you could find it less satisfying. Second, it’s a woven cotton rope item. The listing says it can be washed (hand washable or machine washable) but recommends using a laundry bag for machine washing. If you want totally effortless cleaning with no “bagging” step, you may find that slightly annoying. ## What to check before you commit Before you buy, it’s worth checking how you’re planning to use it: - **Storage placement and size**: make sure the stated dimensions (50 x 35 cm) fit the space you had in mind. - **Stair route and carrying habit**: if you’re expecting to lift it single-handedly, the handles are there, but the flexibility can affect how it bunches when full. - **Cleaning approach**: plan for the suggested washing method, especially if you’re putting it in a machine. - **Initial shape**: it arrives folded. You’ll likely need to reshape it by filling it with items first, as suggested. ## Who it’s for (and who should skip it) It makes sense if you want one soft, large basket for multiple jobs—laundry, toy storage, towels, and more—plus the practical benefit of being easier to carry around, including over stairs. You may want to skip it if you’re after a rigid laundry hamper that stays perfectly upright and holds shape without any flexibility, or if you dislike woven rope textures and prefer something easier to wipe down. ## Practical usage scenario Imagine doing a quick weekday laundry run: you gather clothes, lift the basket using the reinforced handles, and carry it upstairs. Because the hamper can bend rather than stay rigid, it’s described as easier to manage along stairs as you move. Later, you can tuck it away when not needed (since it folds) or repurpose it as a toy hamper in the same room. ## FAQ ### Can the basket be washed? Yes. The listing says it is hand washable or machine washable. For machine washing, it recommends placing the basket in a laundry bag. ### Does it arrive folded? Yes, it comes folded. The listing suggests filling it with blankets or clothes to reshape it, and ironing can also help. ### Is it only for laundry? No. The description repeatedly frames it as multipurpose storage: toys, towels, blankets, pillows, and other household items. ### Will it be OK around children and pets? The product info says the cotton rope is soft without sharp edges and the basket is safe to use, so it’s presented as a sensible option for homes with kids and pets. ### What makes it different from a hard plastic hamper? The key difference mentioned is flexibility: it can bend according to your walking/stairs movement rather than staying fixed like a rigid bin. ## Final verdict Buy the Maliton Stair Basket if you want a large, foldable cotton rope hamper that can handle laundry and also pull duty as toy or blanket storage—especially if you regularly carry items over stairs. It’s designed for easier moving and a softer, more home-friendly feel. Avoid it if you need a rigid, upright hamper with a fixed shape, or if you prefer cleaning methods that don’t involve using a laundry bag for machine washing. With that in mind, it’s a solid value-for-purpose choice for everyday clutter control rather than a “display-only” storage solution. ## Images ![Maliton Stair Basket \(Blue\) 68L Foldable Rope Laundry Hamper & Toy Storage, 50 x 35 cm — 1](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/u4l0uCqokZp6G5vz8c367X1olwjOUOT5BE1kDa8FCAvryrP-R0iY6hyNRYaW3J9G3MgHF2H7vHXnjofBThZrLoujt24JN6jAXDT2MTFFJtZVk7W3UPzq6LjeHg.jpg) ![Maliton Stair Basket \(Blue\) 68L Foldable Rope Laundry Hamper & Toy Storage, 50 x 35 cm — 2](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/q06DWcoCM8khWOn_ra-N7mTDF2gu3gXtM67ZQqcyj12OFlIiUfEbRITIXnt2AVKN81tMv8zh3LHT9sJogY9QLWVVwnb3c8QXjeEHcXbZzLzrNnCtbYa7yNTTqg.jpg) ![Maliton Stair Basket \(Blue\) 68L Foldable Rope Laundry Hamper & Toy Storage, 50 x 35 cm — 3](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/32ICv75Etso6P1fjqmMPmcAD_WOAAFweFKYUJ_R8i_dHSMPv3CJcnror9yb1xk1BKlPKGGc0Kslxu9l-PPRHJwfRbF92R06LX7deh3kE52rZKehaRamK7BEOog.jpg) ![Maliton Stair Basket \(Blue\) 68L Foldable Rope Laundry Hamper & Toy Storage, 50 x 35 cm — 4](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/82NLavADwNrdjQReFtkkDfRyeWbq6EzhOKO3Ew5MZDnz8sET17oRhgX53nSB9QMHNLNeBf6iriBPbsfKhnIwy2QAIya64eS8Rf1y2JRhwyjMXO__WqJnkueJsg.jpg) ![Maliton Stair Basket \(Blue\) 68L Foldable Rope Laundry Hamper & Toy Storage, 50 x 35 cm — 5](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/vZMhddyh-LqlO_6ww1Z_pndkbyJTblEfP4FUPt3LEc-N9iQBzKyDa73W35B2_DBO9nXQU-GWy2UWx6j2jpWkH35Q_O4BjYIq1NaugTnQDOObpnM27LAOz7RXrQ.jpg)
