LLPT DT248 60mm x 30m purple gaffer tape
Product description
LLPT DT248 purple gaffer tape is a premium grade, fabric duct tape for temporary fixes and tidy cable runs at home or on site. It combines an easy‑tear cloth backing with a strong butyl silicone adhesive, offering robust hold while leaving no residue when removed according to the manufacturer. Use it where you need short to medium term repairs, marking or protection without a long cleanup.
Key features
This tape is built for practical, everyday tasks around workshops, events and households. The cloth backing tears cleanly by hand both horizontally and vertically, which makes application quick when you are organising cables, securing plastic sheeting, repairing sports gear or marking zones in a warehouse. It is abrasion resistant and designed to reduce dust and odour transfer on removal, though colour may look slightly different on screen due to display variation. LLPT DT248 appears glossy on the surface and offers a visible purple finish useful for colour coding.

Usage tips
It’s a good fit if you need a strong temporary bond that removes cleanly most of the time, for example when you tape cables for an event or fix a tent seam before a longer repair. Apply by pressing firmly along the length to ensure contact, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for extended permanence. A small caveat, according to the manufacturer, is that surfaces should be reasonably clean for best residue‑free removal.
Care & maintenance
Wipe the surface free of heavy dust or grease before applying to improve adhesion and removal. Store rolls flat in a cool dry place away from direct heat to preserve the adhesive. Repeated repositioning is likely to reduce tack so keep cuts neat and plan placement where possible.
