## Description

## What this is
This is a 2‑pack universal replacement remote designed to work with a broad range of LG TVs, from older LED and LCD sets to the latest OLED, NanoCell, UHD and QNED models. It aims to replicate the full functionality of your original LG remote without the need for programming.

## Compatibility and what to expect
The remote is described as compatible with many LG models and remote codes, including several AKB series and other LG remotes. It specifically lists compatibility with OLEDs (e.g., G1, C1, B2, C2), NanoCell ranges (e.g., NANO75, NANO85, SM90), UHD (e.g., UN73, UN85, UP75) and QNED lines (e.g., QNED80, QNED90). It is marketed as supporting 4K, 8K, Full HD, LCD, LED and MiniLED TVs. Note that this is a universal replacement and not an original LG product.

## How it works in practice
According to the description, no setup is required—insert batteries and the remote should control the TV immediately. It is pitched as a plug‑and‑play option, which can be convenient if you’ve misplaced your original remote or need a quick spare.

## Design and build
The remote is described as ergonomic with a durable ABS construction. It includes dedicated one‑touch buttons for popular streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+), which may help speed up access to often used apps.

## Strengths in use
- Wide claimed compatibility with many LG models and codes.
- Two remotes in the pack offer a practical spare or replacement option.
- Dedicated streaming buttons can save time navigating menus.
- No programming required, which simplifies the replacement process.

## Limitations and caveats
- It is described as universal but not an original LG remote, so there is a potential for occasional non‑essential button behaviour depending on the TV model.
- Users are advised to verify their original remote model number to ensure a perfect match, incorrect compatibility could occur if the exact model isn’t listed.
- While the manufacturer notes rigorous testing, the absence of exact compatibility details for every LG model means some users may experience intermittent issues on very new or niche models.

## Should you buy it? Who it’s for
This is likely a sensible option if you own an LG TV and want a ready‑to‑use replacement without the hassle of pairing. It could suit a household needing a spare remote, or someone who prefers a straightforward, no‑fuss replacement with quick access to streaming apps. If you prioritise a remote that is officially branded as LG, or if you own a model not clearly covered by the listed compatibility, you might want to check more precisely before purchasing.

## Before you buy
- Check that your TV model appears in the compatibility notes or that your original remote’s model number aligns with the listed codes.
- Consider whether you need any model‑specific features that may not be guaranteed by a universal replacement.
- Think about whether you want a single remote or a spare (this is a 2‑pack).

## Practical example of use
Imagine you’re settling in for an evening of streaming. You grab one of the two LG remote replacements, press Netflix with the dedicated button, and the TV responds immediately. No pairing, no fuss. The second unit sits ready in the living room drawer for a quick swap if the primary remote goes missing.

## Quick comparison of approaches
If you already own a dedicated LG remote and can’t find it, a universal replacement like this offers value by avoiding the need to buy an original model at full price. It sits as a middle ground between relying on a non‑LG universal remote with questionable compatibility and paying premium for an LG‑branded spare.

## Final verdict
Is it worth it? Worth considering if you want a straightforward, no‑fuss replacement with streaming‑button convenience and you don’t mind it not being an original LG product. It may not be perfect for every edge case model, but for many LG TVs it provides practical, immediate control with the added peace of mind of a 2‑pack.

## FAQ (in use)
- Do I need to programme it? No, according to the description it requires no setup.
- Will it work with my exact LG model? Check the listed model ranges and the codes of your original remote to be sure.
- What if one remote stops working? You have a spare in the 2‑pack, which offers redundancy.
- Is it officially LG? No, it’s a universal replacement and not an original LG product.
