LEGO Friends Unicorn Dream Café 42684
Product description
Kids get a hands-on way to roleplay as café owners with the LEGO Friends Unicorn Dream Café, a playset built around cake shop stories and unicorn-themed fun. It combines a detailed build with pretend play features like a bar area and a seating space, helping children create their own moments of service and snack time. With mini dolls and toy food accessories included, the set supports imaginative play again and again, whether it is a quiet afternoon at home or a birthday gift for a group. 🦄
Key features
The LEGO Friends Unicorn Dream Café toy cake shop set lets kids display and serve toy treats while they build up their own storylines. They can set up cupcakes in the windows and on the turntable, then serve customers in the seating area as part of café roleplay. At the bar, children can make pretend milkshakes and juices, which adds variety to what players can act out. The unicorn theme brings a fantasy touch to everyday imaginative play, with a LEGO unicorn plushie accessory that fits the setting.
A standout part of the play experience is the inclusion of three LEGO Friends mini dolls, Paisley, Aliya and Iza. These figures encourage different characters in the story, so children can share roles and invent scenes around the café. Toy food accessories are part of that same storytelling, with doughnuts, waffles, cookies, cupcakes and cakes included. There is also a cash register to bring a more realistic feel to the pretend customer interactions.
What to know
This set is described as a detailed building set for kids aged 6 and over, designed for pretend-play as café owners. The idea is not only to build the café, but also to play out cake shop scenes using the included accessories and characters. Kids can be creative with how they arrange toy treats around the windows and turntable, then rotate through serving and making drinks at the bar. That mix of display, roleplay and pretend service is what helps keep the play moving.
When it comes to building, the LEGO Builder app provides digital instructions and an intuitive experience. Children can save sets, track progress and use 3D instructions, including the ability to zoom in and rotate models. For families who like discovering more ideas, there is also an online show mentioned with LEGO Friends: The Next Chapter, where kids can learn about the Heartlake City characters.
It is also worth noting that the online show is tied to the wider LEGO Friends: The Next Chapter content, and additional sets are sold separately. If you already plan to expand, the café can fit into a larger collection of story settings, while still working as a complete standalone playset.
Worth considering if you want a birthday gift that mixes building with ongoing imaginative play for 6+ age kids. 🧁

Where it shines
It makes sense if you want a unicorn-themed café playset that combines a detailed build with repeated roleplay. You’ll likely like it if your child enjoys setting up scenes, displaying toy treats and acting out customer interactions at a bar and seating area. It also suits families looking for a gift that includes mini dolls and multiple toy food accessories so play can start straight away. It may not be a great match if you are specifically looking for a set with information on exact dimensions or materials rather than a story-focused build experience.
