## Description

## What it is
The Lealchum Dog Booster Car Seat is a compact travel solution designed for small to medium dogs, up to 35lbs. It elevates your pet by a 6in cushion to help them see out the window while travelling, and it features a detachable design for easy cleaning.

## How it contributes to safety
This booster incorporates adjustable safety leashes and shoulder straps, plus a harness channel at the base to help keep your dog secure during car journeys. The setup prioritises stability and reduces movement, which can make trips calmer for both pet and driver.

## Comfort in use
The surface is described as ultra-soft, with memory foam cushioning that creates a cosy riding environment. The 15 cm eggshell pad at the bottom adds a little extra elevation and support, making longer trips more comfortable for a small to medium dog.

## Cleaning and maintenance
The carrier is fully detachable, simplifying cleaning and reassembly. This is helpful if your dog tends to shed or have spillages, the ability to wash the product reduces lingering odours and dirt.

## Fit, installation and practicality
Designed to fit in both front and back seats, it offers flexibility for different car interiors. Installation is described as three simple steps, and the material is said to be soft yet resilient, returning to shape after cleaning or heavy use. It also comes with two storage pockets and three straps for versatility.

## What to consider before buying
If your vehicle mainly accommodates medium-sized dogs or you frequently switch between front and rear seating, this booster could be convenient. However, it’s important to note the weight limit (up to 35lbs) and ensure the seat area can accommodate the base securely. The product’s appeal rests on a balance between elevated view, secure harness integration, and ease of cleaning.

## How it compares to other approaches
For journeys with a small dog, this booster offers more structure and safety than a basic blanket or non-attached mat. If you prioritise a washable, detachable design with built-in safety harnessing, it’s worth considering. It may be less suitable if you need the largest possible space for a slightly larger dog, or if your car’s seats are unusually contoured where a rigid booster wouldn’t sit flat.

## A practical usage scenario
Imagine a Sunday drive with your terrier: your dog can observe the world outside, kept secure by the harness channels, while you enjoy a tidy cabin thanks to the detachable cover that’s easy to wash after the trip.

## FAQ
- Q: Can it be used in the front seat? A: Yes, the product design supports placement in either front or back seats.
- Q: How easy is cleaning? A: It’s fully detachable for washing and reassembly, which helps with pet-related mess.
- Q: What if my dog is near the weight limit? A: If your dog is close to 35lbs, monitor how the seat sits and ensure the harness and straps hold securely.

## Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you prioritise a dedicated booster with integrated safety features, easy cleaning, and practical storage for everyday car trips with a small-to-mid sized dog. It may not be the best option if you need a lot more space or a higher weight capacity than 35lbs.
