Kriogor 12V LED Ceiling Light with Remote Control – 4 Colour Modes for Caravans, RVs and Boats
Product description
What it is
A compact, 12V LED ceiling light designed for caravans, motorhomes, trailers and boats. It combines an elegant acrylic top with full aluminium panels and a mirrored finish to create a bright, modern look while saving space in tight interiors.
How it works
The light is controlled by a remote, so you can adjust brightness and colour temperature from bed or seat. It offers four colour temperatures (cool white, natural white, warm white and a soft blue) to suit different moods and times of day. With 81 LED beads arranged in a central area and an outer layer, the design aims to deliver even illumination without flicker.
What stands out
On the practical side, the unit is 0.47 inches thick, making it unobtrusive in low-ceiling spaces. The edge features a transparent lace pattern that visually expands the space when both inner and outer colours are on. The light is designed to be energy-efficient with a long service life, and brightness is adjustable across 30%, 60% and 100% via the remote.
Pros and cons
Pros: remote operation for convenience, multiple colour temperatures to create different atmospheres, slim profile, decorative pattern adds a touch of style, broad applicability across RVs, boats and vehicles. Cons: being a 12V unit, it’s specifically suited to vehicles and marine contexts, so it isn’t a universal home ceiling light. The colour options are fixed to four modes, which may not cover every personal preference.
Who it’s for
If you regularly travel in caravans or boats and want a light that's easy to dim and tailor colour temperature from a distance, this could be a practical upgrade. It’s particularly appealing for those who value a stylish interior look (thanks to the mirrored design) and a simple install.
When it makes sense to buy
Consider this when replacing a dim or outdated interior light in a 12V vehicle or vessel, or when you want a compact, easy-to-operate lighting solution that can switch between practical white light and a softer ambience without manual fiddling.
When you might want to look elsewhere
If you need a light that operates on home mains supply, or if you require a broader range of lighting modes beyond four fixed temperatures, you may want to explore other options.
What to check before buying
- Ensure your power setup is 12V and compatible with the unit’s wiring.
- Check ceiling space to confirm the 13 x 13 cm footprint and 1.2 cm thickness will fit your installation area.
- Consider how often you’ll use the decorative blue mode, it’s a nice touch but may not be essential for daily tasks.
How it compares in use
This light sits in the mid-range of RV/marine interior lighting: compact, visually appealing and straightforward to install, with a pattern design that adds ambience without complicating wiring or controls. If you prefer a sturdier main lighting solution or need a broader colour spectrum, you might weigh options that offer more customisation or higher brightness.
Buying verdict
Is it worth it? If a compact, stylish, remote-controlled 12V ceiling light with four colour temperatures and a blooming pattern is what you need to upgrade an interior space on a caravan or boat, it’s worth considering. It may not be perfect for every scenario, but for mid-range occupancy and travel use, it offers practical value with a clear emphasis on ease of use and atmosphere.
