## Description

This sock aid from Kekoy helps users put on and remove everyday socks more independently, especially when bending is difficult or mobility is reduced. It combines a soft U-shaped shell and adjustable ropes to make sliding ankle socks and calf socks easier, offering a practical aid for daily dressing and post-surgery recovery.

## Key Points

The design features a flexible U-shaped ABS shell that keeps the sock opening stable while you slide your foot in, which reduces the need to press down on the instep. A soft foam handle provides a non-slip grip and comfortable hold during use, and the foam pad on the shell helps prevent the sock from slipping off the aid mid-task. This tool is suitable for a range of regular socks including ankle, crew, knee-high and sports socks, according to the manufacturer. 🧦

Consider that this product is not intended for use with compression socks or stockings. It is recommended for people recovering from hip or knee replacement, those with arthritis or limited bending ability, pregnant users, and anyone who finds it hard to reach their feet. The ropes can be shortened to suit personal reach by retying knots at the handle ends, which adds versatility for different users. 🤲

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Kekoy Sock Aids for Putting Socks On and Off**
- Material: ABS shell with foam handles and foam anti-slip pad
- Cord length: 96 cm adjustable ropes
- Maximum foot width: 10.9 cm
- Colour: Blue

## Usage Recommendations

Place the sock over the U-shaped shell and slide the cuff down until it is held open by the shell. Sit down, insert your foot into the opened sock and pull the ropes gently to draw the sock up. The soft foam handle gives a secure grip while you guide the sock up the foot and leg, which helps reduce strain on the back and knees. For users with limited hand strength, gripping close to the foam handle increases control and makes the action smoother.

If you plan to use this aid frequently, check the rope knots periodically and retie them if they slip to maintain the desired length. Also, be aware that thicker or very tight socks may require a bit more effort to fit over the shell, and socks designed specifically for compression will not work with this product, according to the manufacturer.
