## Description

This Type 2 EV charging cable is a portable 10 metre solution that lets you charge at home or on the move with adjustable current settings and a built-in timer. It suits owners who need a reliable, weather-resistant lead for overnight charging and occasional mobile use, helping to save money by scheduling sessions during off-peak hours.

## Key Points

The cable supports selectable currents of 6, 8 and 10 amps, making it useful for low-power situations as well as everyday overnight charging. The maximum charging capability is **2.4kW** at 230 V and 10 A according to the manufacturer, so it is not intended for rapid public charging but is practical as a home backup or portable unit. The integrated LCD shows real-time status and the unit includes an auto-stop feature to help prevent overcharging and reduce battery wear. ⚡

This model is built for durability with a design rated **IP66** for the housing and IP55 for the plug, offering protection against rain and dust and coping with frequent handling. The housing claims an impact-resistant construction and a plug lifetime exceeding 10,000 insertion cycles, which supports regular daily use and transport.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **INFGO EV Charger**
- Cable length: 10 m (32.8 ft)
- Maximum power: 2.4 kW (230 V × 10 A)
- Current settings: 6 A, 8 A, 10 A
- Timer range: 0.5–12 hours
- Protection ratings: IP66 housing, IP55 plug
- Durability: over 10,000 plug-in cycles

## Usage Recommendations

Use the timer to schedule charging during lower tariff periods, setting sessions between 0.5 and 12 hours to match your vehicle’s needs and local electricity rates. ⏱️ For everyday overnight charging, the 8 A and 10 A settings provide reasonable speed without requiring dedicated high-power circuits. Consider the 6 A option when only low-power supply is available or when using older domestic sockets.

Be aware that the relatively modest charging power means this cable complements home or portable charging routines rather than replacing faster wallboxes or public rapid chargers. According to the manufacturer, the unit includes protections against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating and short circuits, which contributes to safer overnight and unattended charging.
