Hot Wheels 2026 Advent Calendar

What it is

The Hot Wheels 2026 Advent Calendar brings a festive collection centred around 1:64 scale cars and holiday-themed accessories. It offers 24 daily reveals from December’s run up to Christmas, combining play value with a seasonal display idea.

What you get

Behind 10 doors you’ll find a Hot Wheels vehicle, including one exclusive snow globe car with a yeti driver. Behind the remaining doors are assorted accessories such as a reindeer or sleigh, designed to spark holiday-themed imaginative play. There are 10 ornament clips included to hang the cars on a tree for a decorative, family-friendly display.

Who it’s for

This calendar suits Hot Wheels fans who enjoy a daily unboxing ritual and families looking for a replaceable, toy-based countdown to Christmas. It also appeals to collectors who appreciate seasonal surprises and a simple way to add a holiday display to the home.

Practical take: on the paper value

On the surface, this calendar blends a traditional Advent countdown with the toy car collectability that Hot Wheels is known for. If you prioritise ongoing play value and a reusable tree display, it can feel like reasonable long-term use. The inclusion of a snow globe vehicle and holiday accessories adds novelty, though the perceived value depends on how often the pieces are actively displayed or played with.

Pros

• 24 daily reveals create ongoing anticipation and a clear countdown structure.
• Includes a mix of vehicles and holiday-themed accessories, broadening play scenarios.
• Ornament clips enable a themed tree display, extending the calendar beyond initial unboxing.

Cons

• The appeal hinges on the interest in Hot Wheels and seasonal themes, it may not suit non-collectors.
• Some components are decorative rather than functional, which might limit long-term engagement for younger children.
• The durability and size of pieces aren’t detailed, so use in busy households may vary.

Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you’re seeking a festive, family-friendly daily activity and you value the idea of a seasonal display. If you’d rather a strictly collectible set with high durability or a broader range of scale models, you might want to compare with other options.

What to check before buying

• Confirm suitability for the intended age range and ensure the pieces are age-appropriate for the recipient.
• Consider storage space for the 24 items after the holidays and whether you’ll reuse the tree clips in future years.
• Think about how often you’ll actually display or play with the included accessories beyond the advent period.

How it compares to alternatives

If you favour a straightforward countdown with a handful of small toys, this calendar sits between a standard advent calendar and a mini-collection set. It’s less about high-end scale modelling and more about daily unboxing and a cute holiday display option.

In-use example

Imagine a cosy December morning: the family opens the calendar door and discovers a tiny car. The kids place it on the tree using a dedicated ornament clip, then discuss where the vehicle would “drive” in a wintery scene. By day ten, you’ve got a little snow globe showpiece surrounded by reindeer-themed accessories.

Final decision

Is it worth it?

Worth considering if you enjoy seasonal play and a decorative tree display, and you’re happy with a mix of vehicles and holiday accessories.
