HEAD Tennis Balls, 12-ball pack

If you need balls for regular practice or a coaching session, a multi-tube pack is more practical than buying a small number for occasional play. If you only play now and then, twelve may be more than you need at once.

The HEAD Radical pack contains three tubes, with four balls in each. That gives you a ready supply for recreational games and training.

The balls are described as pressurised and suitable for all court surfaces. Packaging may vary, so the outer presentation might not match every product image.

Technical details

This is a pack of 12 yellow tennis balls, supplied in three tubes of four. HEAD describes them as powerful and durable, and says they are suitable for all court surfaces. They are intended for recreational games, coaching and training rather than being presented with a specific competition rating or performance measure.

That makes the pack useful when you want several balls available for a session, instead of stopping to collect a single ball after every hit. For example, a coach can keep a few nearby for feeding drills while the rest stay in their tubes. The product information does not give details such as a ball speed category, felt construction or a stated lifespan, so those looking for a particular playing feel will have little to go on.

Getting the most from it

There is no equipment compatibility information to consider here, the useful distinction is how and where you play. The balls are stated to suit all court surfaces, and their intended uses cover casual matches as well as coaching and practice. It suits you if you want a straightforward stock of balls for shared sessions, rather than a single tube for an occasional hit.

For a relaxed rally, you can keep the spare tubes to hand and open them as needed. If you are choosing balls for a specific level of competitive play or need a defined bounce or speed, the description does not provide enough detail to establish whether these meet that requirement. It might not be a great match if that kind of performance information is central to your choice.

Usage tips

Keep the unopened tubes available for later sessions, and take out only the balls you need. Since this is a pressurised ball, the sealed tubes are a useful way to store spares until you are ready to play, the listing does not specify how long they retain their playing characteristics once opened. Packaging may vary, which is worth bearing in mind if the exact presentation matters to you.

For a casual session, the three-tube format also makes it easy to divide the balls between players or keep a tube with coaching equipment. Compared with buying only a few balls, this pack gives you more ready for practice, compared with a specialist ball chosen for a particular playing standard, it offers less information to guide a precise performance choice.

Practical doubts

How many balls are included? There are 12 balls in total, supplied as three tubes of four.

Can they be used on different court surfaces? The product description says they are suitable for all court surfaces.

Are they intended for coaching as well as casual play? Yes. The stated uses include recreational games, coaching and training.

Final verdict

Choose these HEAD Radical tennis balls if you want a multi-tube supply for recreational play, coaching or general practice, and the stated all-surface suitability fits your needs. Look elsewhere if you need a specified speed, playing level or detailed information about feel and longevity: those points are not covered in the product details.
