Greenworks GD40CS15 cordless chainsaw 35cm
Product description
The Greenworks GD40CS15 is a cordless chainsaw designed for larger gardens, offering a 35cm bar that tackles pruning, logs and smaller trees with ease. Lightweight at 3.5kg and fitted with ergonomic soft‑grip handles, it aims to reduce fatigue during longer tasks while maintaining steady cutting performance. If you already own a Greenworks 40V battery this tool only option keeps costs and clutter down, making it a practical addition to a battery toolkit.
Key features
A brushless motor delivers up to 30% more power and longer run time according to the manufacturer, while sustaining a chain speed of 12m/s for quick, clean cuts. Kickback protection stops the chain instantly if recoil occurs, and the automatic oiler with a translucent 180ml reservoir keeps the bar lubricated during use. The unit comes without a 40V battery or charger so you will need a compatible Greenworks 40V 2Ah or 4Ah pack to run it.

Usage tips
It’s a good fit if you want a portable, lower-noise alternative to petrol saws for garden maintenance, pruning and small tree work. Bear in mind that as a tool only package you must provide a Greenworks 40V battery and suitable charger before first use.
Care & maintenance
Regularly clean debris from the bar and sprocket area and top up the oil through the translucent window to ensure smooth running. Periodically inspect the chain for wear and sharpen or replace it as needed according to the manufacturer’s guidance. The 3 year guarantee from Greenworks covers manufacturing faults under normal use, registration or proof of purchase may be required.
