## Description

## What this is and what it solves
The Greadio Portable CD Player is a compact, vertical design solution for enjoying a personal CD collection alongside modern wireless and digital inputs. It combines a traditional CD drive with Bluetooth 5.1 streaming, USB MP3/WMA playback, and an AUX input, all in a space-saving form factor. If you value a dedicated CD experience without a bulky stereo system, this device aims to bridge nostalgic media with contemporary convenience.

## Design and build quality in practice
The unit stands vertically and includes a sliding transparent dust cover for protection and easy operation. A LED display clearly shows how you’re listening (CD/Bluetooth/AUX/USB), and a remote control adds convenience for cosy listening sessions from across the room. Note that the product relies on external power via USB-C and does not include a built-in battery, which makes it stable during playback but limits portability away from a power source.

## How it sounds and what you can expect
Two built-in speakers deliver room-filling audio, with five EQ modes to tailor the sound to your room or genre. This isn’t a hi‑fi star, but for a compact player it offers a more engaging experience than many similarly small devices. If you prioritise private listening, there’s a 3.5 mm headphone jack to keep sound to yourself.

## Formats and compatibility you can rely on
Supported formats include CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 and WMA, while the USB input supports MP3/WMA up to 128 GB. You’ll also get Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless listening to headphones or speakers, and an AUX input for older devices. The device includes a Type‑C cable and an AUX cable, plus a remote and user manual to ease setup.

## How to use it day to day
Power is provided via a 5V2A adaptor (not included). A built-in sleep timer (15–90 minutes) helps you drift off with music. There’s also a power-saving function: once a disc finishes reading, the player stops spinning while playback continues. A word of caution: avoid connecting directly to a laptop power source to prevent stuttering or shutdown issues.

## What works well for whom
This is a practical option if you want a dedicated CD player that can also stream via Bluetooth, without committing to a full stereo system. It’s well-suited for bedrooms, desks, or kitchens where a compact, all-in-one music solution is desirable. It may appeal to someone who values a straightforward, multi-format player with minimal fuss and a remote for convenience.

## Where it might fall short
If you expect battery-powered portability for true on-the-go use, this model isn’t designed for that. The physical footprint, while compact, relies on a power adaptor and may not fit every space. The dual-speaker setup is adequate for casual listening but isn’t aimed at high-end audiophiles. The device also depends on its included power supply and is not built to run directly from a laptop’s USB power without issues.

## What to check before buying
- Confirm you have a suitable 5V2A power adaptor or power bank handy for uninterrupted use.
- Consider how you’ll use Bluetooth: pairing with headphones or speakers is straightforward, but consider the range and room layout.
- If you mainly use CDs, ensure your collection includes CD‑R/CD‑RW formats you plan to play, MP3/WMA will also be accessible via USB.
- Decide if you need private listening via the headphone jack or if you prefer shared listening through the built-in speakers.

## Practical comparison in plain terms
If you’re weighing options, this device suits someone who wants a compact all‑in‑one player rather than a full AVR setup. For deeper, room‑filling audio or higher fidelity, you’d likely compare with larger setups or dedicated Bluetooth speakers. If you already own a robust Bluetooth speaker system or a streaming hub, this unit provides a middle ground—solid CD playback with optional wireless streaming without needing extra components.

## Is it worth it?
### Final decision
It makes sense if you want a compact, multi‑mode player that can handle physical media and wireless audio in one place, with a remote for convenience and a sleep timer for ease of use. It may not be the best fit if you need true high‑fidelity audio, battery portability, or a device that operates entirely without a wired power source.

## FAQ
- Can it play audio while powered by a power bank via USB-C? Yes, provided the bank can supply 5V2A.
- Is there a built‑in battery for portability? No, external power is required.
- Does it support lossless streaming via Bluetooth? Bluetooth streaming is supported, but the device uses Bluetooth 5.1, so expect standard streaming quality rather than high‑end lossless transmission.
