Ferplast Dog Bed Small 57 x 38 x 3.5 cm

This small, reversible dog cushion from Ferplast offers a protective and comfortable layer for carriers and car seats while keeping your pet warm on the move. The outer side uses scratch-proof, waterproof fabric and the inner side features warm microfleece, making it a practical mattress option for short trips and resting at home.

Key Points

The double-sided design makes it easy to switch between a wipe-clean outer surface and a cosy fleece interior, so you can adapt the cushion to the situation. It is machine washable at 30°C according to the manufacturer, which simplifies maintenance and keeps the cushion fresh after travel or outdoor use. 🐶

The compact dimensions mean it fits smaller crates and many car seat areas, while the low 3.5 cm profile helps pets lie comfortably without taking up too much space. The black colour blends with most interiors and masks minor stains between washes. 🧼

Consider that this cushion is intended as a comfortable mat rather than a chew-resistant bed. It may not be the best option for strong chewers who need reinforced edges or heavier duty materials. The product carries the Italian design hallmark noted by the brand.

Usage Recommendations

Place the cushion inside a travel crate or flat on a vehicle seat to protect upholstery and give your dog a familiar surface while travelling. For routine cleaning, remove loose hair with a cloth or brush, wipe the outer side for quick spills, and use the 30°C machine wash cycle for a deeper clean. Additionally, allow the cushion to air dry completely before reusing to preserve the fleece texture and the water-repellent qualities of the outer fabric.

For everyday home use, rotate the cushion so the fleece side faces up for extra warmth during rest periods and flip it to the more resistant surface when you expect dirt or damp conditions. Keep in mind that heavy, persistent chewing can damage the external fabric over time, so supervise puppies and strong chewers when introducing the cushion.
