## Description

This retractable gate from Eyeleaf creates a temporary barrier for stairs, doorways and patios while staying out of the way when not needed. It extends up to 59 inches wide and stands 34 inches tall, offering easy one-handed operation and a roll-away mesh that helps reduce tripping hazards while keeping children and dogs contained.

## Key Points

The gate uses a smooth, rollable mesh that retracts into a compact housing, saving space compared with conventional metal gates. **Retractable mesh** makes passage effortless and avoids the protruding bars that can cause stumbles. 🐶

A top-mounted locking switch lets adults open and close the barrier with one hand while keeping curious toddlers and pets from releasing it. **One-handed operation** supports quick daily use in busy homes. 🔒

The design aims to combine breathability and visibility with a soft, strong fabric that cushions impact. Consider that full tensioning of the mesh is recommended after installation to maintain stability, according to the manufacturer.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Eyeleaf Retractable Stair Gates**
- Maximum width: 59 inches (150 cm)
- Height: 34 inches (86 cm)
- Suitable for pets: recommended for animals from about 10 to 40 kg, according to the manufacturer
- Installation type: screw-mounted for permanent fit on stairs, doorways or outdoor openings

## Usage Recommendations

Place the mounting brackets at a height that matches the included measurements and ensure the housing is fixed to a sturdy surface for best performance. For high-traffic areas such as hallways or the bottom of stairs, lock the latch after pulling the mesh tight to reduce sagging and improve the gate’s steadiness. For outdoor use, check that the chosen location is protected from direct weather where possible to prolong the mesh and housing lifespan.

If you have a very narrow opening, the roll-up feature keeps the walking line clear when the gate is not deployed. For households with larger or very active dogs, test the installation tension and re-check fixings periodically to prevent loosening.
