Extra Long 170cm Foldable Dog Ramp for Large Dogs

This extra long foldable dog ramp provides a gentle slope for larger pets to access cars, SUVs and trucks with less strain on joints and muscles. The aluminium construction keeps it lightweight for carrying while the non-slip carpet surface helps maintain traction on each step, making vehicle entry safer for older or injured dogs.

Key Points

The ramp extends to 170 cm, which creates a shallower incline and reduces the effort required for pets with limited mobility. Its wider 43 cm walking area gives more room for confident footing and steadier movement. For everyday outings and longer journeys, the ramp folds down to a compact size and includes a padded foam handle for easier transport and handling.

This design is versatile, so it can also be used to help pets onto high sofas or beds when needed. Consider that the manufacturer lists a maximum load of 100 kg, which should cover most medium and large dogs according to typical weight ranges. The long profile is especially helpful for short-legged breeds, elderly animals or those recovering from injury 😊.

Usage Recommendations

Set the ramp on a flat surface and ensure the base and vehicle edge are aligned before encouraging your pet to use it. Start with short, calm sessions to familiarise a nervous dog, and use treats or a favourite toy to reinforce positive behaviour. For vehicles with higher thresholds, check that the ramp sits securely against the bumper or tailgate and does not wobble during initial use.

Although the aluminium frame is durable and keeps the ramp light for carrying, avoid leaving it exposed to harsh weather for long periods to prevent wear of the carpet surface and moving parts. For transport, fold it flat into its compact size and use the padded handle for comfort when carrying long distances. 😊
