## Description

## What to know
The Exo Terra Infrared Thermometer helps you check surface and body temperatures quickly and without contact, making routine husbandry and field checks easier. It measures basking spots, hiding caves, incubation media and even a reptile’s body temperature, and a small LED targeting light highlights the measured area. For practical use the device also shows the diameter of the measurement spot, and the display holds the last reading once you release the button.

## Tech specs
- Name: Exo Terra Infrared Thermometer
- Type: Infrared thermometer
- Display: Large digital display
- Feature: LED targeting light
- Function: Measures surface and ambient temperature

## Benefits
This thermometer is straightforward to operate, with a single button press to scan awkward spots such as inside hides, behind branches or under foliage. The large digital readout is easy to read under varied lighting and the hold function means you can capture a value while moving the animal or repositioning the optics. It is useful for daily checks and for establishing temperature gradients across an enclosure.

## Usage tips
It’s a good fit if you need quick non-contact readings while handling animals minimally. For a reliable gradient mapping try taking multiple readings from the same distance across the enclosure to compare basking, ambient and shelter temperatures. Do note that readings represent surface temperature and may differ from core body temperature in larger animals, so interpret results accordingly.

**Exo Terra Infrared Thermometer** is mentioned above to help identify the product clearly. **LED targeting light** and **large digital display** are key features to look for when assessing ease of use. 🦎🔦
