## Description

## What it is
The ErGear Single Monitor Arm is a desk-mounted solution designed to support a wide range of screens from 13" to 34". It uses VESA 75x75mm or 100x100mm mounting patterns and is rated to hold up to 9kg. The design centres on stability and ease of setup, making it a practical choice for both work setups and gaming desks.

## How it solves a need
If you’re looking to free up desk space, improve ergonomics, and reduce screen wobble, this arm aims to deliver. A larger contact area is provided by an integrated C-clamp with anti-slip silicone padding and a redesigned VESA plate that’s 40% wider. The gap-free connection between arm and post is intended to minimise movement, helping the screen stay aligned with your eye level as you adjust.

## What stands out in use
The arm offers extended adjustability: a separate column allows height adjustments up to 57.5cm and horizontal reach up to 52.5cm. You can tilt between -80° and +50°, swivel up to 90° in either direction, and rotate a full 360° to position the monitor in landscape or portrait mode. This flexibility supports more comfortable seating positions and easier multi-tasking without craning your neck.

## Pros and what may not convince you
On the plus side, the tool-free installation and the integrated clamp/bearing system mean you can set it up quickly without extra hardware. The upgraded cable management clips help keep wires tidy without tools. It’s a tidy, low-profile solution for a single monitor. On the downside, it’s still a fixed arm, if you need frequent, drastic repositioning or multiple screens, there may be more dynamic, dual-arm options to consider. Also, if your monitor falls outside the 13–34" range or exceeds the 9kg limit, this model won’t fit.

## Who it’s for
This arm is well-suited for office workstations and gaming desks where a single large monitor is used and desk real estate is a priority. It’s particularly appealing if you value stable positioning, a clean look, and straightforward installation.

## Who should think twice
If your setup requires frequent, rapid reconfigurations, or you plan to use a heavier ultrawide monitor beyond 9kg, you may want to explore alternatives designed for higher loads or dual-monitor arrangements. It’s also worth noting that the system is built around standard VESA patterns, unusual mounting holes or non-standard VESA adapters could complicate compatibility.

## Before you buy: what to check
- Confirm your monitor’s VESA pattern (75x75mm or 100x100mm) and weight (up to 9kg).
- Ensure your desk thickness and edge clearance allow for the integrated C-clamp.
- Check how you’ll route cables and whether the provided clips meet your cable routing needs.
- Consider whether you want portrait or landscape orientation and whether you’ll benefit from the full 360° rotation.

## How it compares in practice
For someone prioritising desk space and a straightforward upgrade, this ErGear arm sits as a reliable mid-range option focused on stability and ease of installation. If your priority is extreme adjustability across multiple monitors or very heavy panels, you might look at specialised arms designed for heavier loads or dual-mount configurations. If you just want a simple, sturdy single-monitor mount that does the job without fuss, this model fits that bill well.

## Practical usage example
Imagine a home office where you’re switching between writing code, reviewing documents, and late-night gaming. You clamp the arm to the desk, attach a 27" monitor, and position it at eye level with a smooth tilt and swivel. When you’re drafting, you rotate to portrait mode for long-form reading, when you game, you swivel back to landscape and extend the reach to align perfectly with your chair. The cable clips keep the power and HDMI cables neat, so there’s less desk clutter and more elbow room.

## The decision moment
### Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you prioritise stability, easy installation, and a clean, organised desk with a single monitor up to 34". It’s a solid pick if you want a practical, no-nonsense mount that performs well for day-to-day use.
