## Description

## What this is
The ENEGON LP-E6 direct-charging battery is a pair of LP-E6 compatible batteries (each 2000mAh) that can be charged via a USB-C connection without a dedicated charger. The package includes two 2000mAh batteries and a 2-in-1 USB-C charging cable, enabling simultaneous charging of both packs or charging two USB‑C devices at once.

## Who it’s for
If you shoot with Canon bodies that use LP-E6 family batteries—such as the 5D series, 60D/70D/80D/90D and the 6D/7D lines—this setup aims to simplify charging on the go. It’s particularly convenient for travel, location shoots, or outdoor work where carrying a separate charger would be less efficient.

## How it works
The batteries are designed for direct USB-C charging, so you can top them up from laptops, power banks, car USB ports, or wall chargers using a single cable. The included 2-in-1 USB-C cable also lets you charge any two USB-C devices at once, which can be handy if you’re balancing camera power with a phone or tablet.

## What stands out
On the surface, the appeal is clear: fewer cables, less clutter, and the ability to charge two LP-E6 packs without a dedicated mains charger. The 2000mAh capacity offers respectable endurance for Canon cameras, helping extend shooting sessions before swapping packs. The system also includes LED indicators: green when fully charged and red while charging, giving at-a-glance status.

## Consider this before you buy
It’s worth noting that you’re relying on USB-C charging infrastructure rather than a traditional dedicated charger. If you shoot in remote or low-power environments, you’ll still need compatible USB-C supplies. Also, while the claim is direct charging, real-world charging speed can vary with the USB-C source—some sources may deliver faster or slower results depending on their output and cable quality.

## Strengths in everyday use
- Convenience: two batteries, charged via a single USB-C source
- Flexibility: can charge two devices at once with the 2-in-1 cable
- Compatibility: supports a broad range of Canon bodies that use LP-E6/LPE6N
- Safe operation: includes protection against over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, over-temperature and over-charge, built with fire‑retardant materials

## Limitations and where it may fall short
- Not a replacement for a dedicated fast charger if you must recharge quickly between shoots
- Charging speed depends on your USB-C power source, higher-output sources will improve speed, but not all USB-C adapters will push the same pace
- The pack is designed for Canon LP-E6 ecosystem, if you switch to a different battery format, you’ll need a separate solution

## Ideal for these scenarios
- Travel photographers who want fewer gadgets and cables
- Outdoor shoots where mains access is limited
- Situations where you’re already using USB-C devices and want to streamline charging routines

## What to check before buying
- Ensure your USB-C charger or power bank can supply adequate current for efficient charging
- Confirm your Canon body uses LP-E6 or LP-E6N batteries
- Consider your typical shooting sessions to gauge whether 2000mAh per battery meets your endurance needs

## How it compares to other approaches
If you traditionally carry a dedicated LP-E6 charger, this setup trades a slightly different charging workflow for USB-C convenience. It’s a sensible alternative when you prioritise compact gear and travel-friendly charging. It may be less appealing if you routinely require the fastest possible recharge times or work in environments where USB-C access is unreliable.

## Decision moment
### Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you value reduced clutter and have reliable USB-C power sources for charging on the go. It suits photographers who use Canon bodies in the LP-E6 family and want a practical, travel-friendly charging solution.

## Quick FAQ
- Do the batteries come pre-charged? The product description covers charging capability, but you’ll typically need to charge them upon receipt.
- Can I use the 2-in-1 cable for other devices? Yes, the cable supports USB-C devices beyond the camera batteries.
- What happens if one battery dies mid-shoot? You can swap to the second charged pack and continue shooting, the two-pack design aims to minimise downtime.
