## Description

## What it is and who it’s for
The EMART LED Desk Ring Light is a compact lighting solution designed for video calls, streaming, photography and day‑to‑day recording at a desk. It aims to deliver natural, flattering light with a high colour accuracy, making it a practical option for those who spend time on Zoom, FaceTime, or live streams from a laptop or desktop setup.

## How it works and what you get
This model uses 73 LEDs to illuminate the full screen with brighter lighting and includes a 180° barn door to help control spill. With a 97+ CRI, it’s designed to render colours more faithfully than cheaper lights. It offers bi‑colour temperature options (3200K and 5600K) and 11 brightness levels from 0% to 100%, plus two magnetic filters for soft fill or a warmer tone. The light head sits on a gooseneck with adjustable height, allowing a wide range of angles and positions for different work setups.

## Build, stability and power
The unit comes with a sturdy base and anti‑slip pads for stability on a desk, and it is powered through USB (5V/3A). A 2‑metre USB cable lets you connect to a laptop, monitor, USB adapter or power bank, which is convenient for longer sessions away from a fixed power outlet. The adjustable stand height (about 50 cm to 78.5 cm) and 360° lamp head rotation help tailor lighting for different postures and tasks.

## Practical use cases and what to expect in use
If you primarily do video calls, this light can reduce shadows and provide a more even skin tone, which is often appreciated in meetings and online presentations. For photography or product shots, the combination of high CRI and the two filters offers a simple way to experiment with warmth or neutral tones without a lot of setup. The phone holder adds versatility for quick selfies or recording short clips without juggling a separate stand.

## Pros and cons at a glance
Pros: high colour accuracy (CRI 97+), adjustable brightness and temperature, flexible positioning with gooseneck, included phone holder, USB power for easy setup.
Cons: it’s a compact, entry‑to‑mid range lighting option, so it may not replace larger studio lights for resource‑intense shoots, and the 15W power means it performs best close to the camera rather than from a distance.

## Who it’s for
This light suits remote workers, students, content creators, and anyone who wants steadier, more natural lighting on a desk without committing to bulkier gear. It’s particularly practical if you use a laptop for calls and want a simple, plug‑and‑play setup.

## What to check before buying
Ensure your chosen space can accommodate the base size and height range, and that USB power is readily available for long sessions. If you value very bright, studio‑style lighting or want even more control over lighting ratios, you might look for larger panels or additional light modifiers.

## How it compares to other approaches
Compared with plain desk lamps, this LED ring light offers higher colour fidelity and a simple two‑filter system for quick tonal changes. If you already have a basic camera and softbox in a dedicated shoot space, this device may feel limited, on a tight desk with a computer‑centric workflow, it provides a clear, affordable upgrade.

## Final verdict
It can be a sensible buy if you prioritise easy setup, good colour accuracy and flexible positioning for video calls and casual content creation. It isn’t aimed at high‑end studio work or extensive lighting rigs, but for on‑the‑desk use, it delivers a straightforward, value‑for‑money solution.

## FAQ
- How bright is the light on its highest setting? It offers 11 brightness levels from 0% to 100%, which covers typical desk lighting needs.
- Can I use this with a mobile device? The light is designed for desk use with a phone holder, the primary power is USB, so it should integrate smoothly with a laptop or USB power bank.
- Is it easy to adjust during a call? Yes, the gooseneck and adjustable height allow quick realignment without tools, which helps if you shift postures while recording or in a meeting.
