## Description

## The essentials
The ELUTENG M.2 NVMe to USB C Docking Station is a compact, dual‑protocol enclosure that accepts M.2 NVMe and NGFF SATA SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 lengths. It uses a single RTL9210 controller to deliver 10 Gbps performance when paired with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, letting you expand storage quickly without buying extra drives. The design prioritises heat management with an upright insertion base and an aluminium shell that distributes heat away from the drive, enabling more reliable operation during sustained transfers.

This enclosure supports M key NVMe drives and B+M key SATA drives, making it a versatile choice for upgrading older laptops or desktops, repairing a laptop SSD, or creating a portable workspace for on‑the‑go projects. The bundled 30 cm USB C to USB C+A 2‑in‑1 cable keeps connections tidy and flexible across devices.

In daily use you’ll appreciate the plug‑and‑play nature and hot‑swap capability, which means you can swap drives without powering down. The enclosure is designed to be quiet and stable on a desk thanks to a silicone base that reduces movement. It also integrates smart hibernation to save energy and extend drive life, which is helpful for users who keep drives idle for long periods. The enclosure is compatible with Windows and Linux systems and is suitable for a range of devices from PCs to smart TVs and network gadgets.

If you’re aiming for fast access to large files, the NVMe path offers theoretical speeds over 900 MB/s under ideal conditions, while the SATA path can still deliver robust performance for compatible drives. To realise full 10 Gbps, ensure your machine supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 and connect to the original cable. Note that Mac OS compatibility is limited for some software scenarios. The enclosure is well suited for users who want a compact, durable, portable storage upgrade that works across multiple operating systems and devices.
