## Description

This Elgato Key Light brings controlled, studio-grade illumination to streaming, recording and video calls, helping creators and professionals shape a flattering workspace light. It delivers a high output yet adjustable beam so you can brighten a whole desk or dial back to a softer tone, according to the scene and subject.

## Key takeaways
The Key Light focuses on practical control and consistent colour. With app-adjustable settings across desktop and mobile you can tweak brightness and temperature without touching the fixture, which keeps your setup tidy and your workflow uninterrupted. It uses an Opal Glass face to soften light and reduce glare, making skin tones look natural on camera.

## Tech summary
- Name: **Elgato Key Light**
- Brightness: 2800 lumens
- Colour temperature: 2900 – 7000 K
- LEDs: 160 OSRAM LEDs
- What’s included: desk clamp

## Where it shines
This light is useful for anyone producing livestreams, video content or holding frequent video conferences. The wide temperature range lets you match ambient lighting or create a distinct look. Low heat emission from the OSRAM LEDs helps in small spaces where traditional soft boxes would become warm.

## Getting the most from it
Placement matters, so position the Key Light slightly above eye level for the most flattering result. Use the app to set scenes for different tasks, for example brighter, cooler light for product work and warmer, dimmer tones for interviews. Keep in mind that while the fixture reduces glare, strong reflective surfaces near the subject can still catch highlights.

## Compatibility
The light pairs via Wi‑Fi with Mac, PC, iOS and Android according to the manufacturer, which allows remote adjustment and integration into a desktop workflow. The included desk clamp secures the unit to most tables and stands commonly used in home studios.
