## Description

The cordless hedge trimmer GC-CH 18/40 Li from Einhell brings battery freedom to routine garden work, combining a 400mm cutting length with a lightweight design for everyday hedge and shrub maintenance. It suits homeowners who prefer a cable-free cutter that is simple to handle and store, and it helps speed up trimming without trailing cords.

## Highlights

This cutter uses a laser-cut diamond-ground steel blade for cleaner cuts and longer-lasting sharpness, according to the manufacturer. The metal gearbox gives reliable power transmission while the aluminium blade cover protects the cutter in storage. Expect compact, easy manoeuvrability for shaping hedges and tidying bushes, though you will need a compatible Power X-Change battery and charger as these are not included.

## Specifications

- Name: Einhell GC-CH 18/40 Li Solo Power X-Change
- Type: cordless hedge trimmer
- Size: 400mm cutting length
- Material: steel blade
- Weight: lightweight design
- Format: Solo, battery and charger not included

## Why it’s worth it

The trimmer balances usable cutting reach with a compact body, so you can manage medium hedges without overextending. The metal gearing is designed for durability and steady cutting, and the laser-ground teeth reduce tearing for neater results. Bear in mind that runtime and performance depend on which Power X-Change battery you pair with it, and heavy-duty jobs will need a higher capacity pack. 🔋🌳

## Best use cases

It’s a good fit if you want a straightforward, cordless solution for regular hedge shaping and light pruning around the garden. You’ll like it if portability and clean cuts matter more than extended runtime on a single charge. Remember to register the tool to access the extra year of warranty offered by the manufacturer. ✂️
