## Description

This freestanding electric stove recreates the look of a traditional coal-fired stove while delivering the convenience of modern heating. The Dimplex Tango Optiflame combines a matte black cast with a coal fuel bed and LED flame effect to bring ambient warmth and visual charm to living rooms, bedrooms or conservatories, with an adjustable 2 kW fan heater and thermostat for straightforward temperature control.

## Key Points

The stove uses an LED flame effect called Optiflame to simulate real flames without actual combustion, creating a cosy focal point without smoke or ash. It includes a coal-style fuel bed for authentic visual depth and a matte black finish that blends with classic and contemporary interiors. Operation is accessible via a remote control and manual door opening, which makes it simple to change settings from a chair across the room. The unit offers two heat settings with a maximum output of 2 kW, which can be useful for spot heating or topping up central heating on cooler days. Note that this is an electric appliance and will rely on household mains power.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Dimplex Tango Optiflame Electric Stove**
- Power output: 2 kW maximum
- Heat settings: Two selectable heat levels
- Flame effect: LED Optiflame with coal fuel bed
- Controls: Remote control and manual door opening

## Benefits

Visual appeal is one of the main advantages, as the LED flames and coal bed recreate a traditional stove atmosphere without the fuss of fuel storage. The adjustable heater and thermostat allow for more consistent room temperatures, and the two heat settings give flexibility between gentle warmth and a stronger boost. The remote control adds convenience for daily use, while the matte black finish reduces the appearance of fingerprints and blends easily with dark-toned furniture. According to the manufacturer, the flame can be used independently of the heater, allowing mood lighting even when no heat is required.

## Usage Recommendations

Place the stove against a flat, non-flammable surface with adequate clearance as indicated in the product manual. For continuous background warmth, use the lower heat setting and rely on the thermostat to maintain comfort. When used as a decorative feature only, the LED flame setting provides atmosphere without energy consumption associated with the heater. Consider room size when choosing where to position the appliance, because a 2 kW output is best suited to single rooms or as a supplementary heat source in larger spaces. Electrical installation is plug-and-play for typical UK sockets, but ensure the circuit can handle the appliance load and avoid extension leads for safety.

Note that while the flame effect is realistic, it is an electronic simulation and may not replace the ambience or scent of a real fire for some users. Find the balance between visual atmosphere and heating needs according to room layout and personal preference.
