## Description

## What it is and what it’s for
DEXI’s bath mat offers a large 60 x 110 cm surface crafted from 100% microfibre. It’s designed to feel soft underfoot and to catch moisture as you step out of the shower, helping to protect flooring from drips.

## Key features in practice
The mat’s microfibre construction is aimed at comfort and absorption, while a TPR backing helps keep the rug steady on wet bathroom floors. It’s described as machine washable, which makes maintenance straightforward—wash on cold with a mild detergent and air dry.

## Benefits and what stands out
On the surface, the extra-soft feel should be pleasant to walk on first thing in the morning. The thick fabric is intended to reduce water transfer to the floor, which can help in keeping bathroom surfaces drier between cleans.

## Limitations and caveats
The backing relies on a dry floor to maximise grip, if the floor is already damp, there is a risk it could slip. Like many fabric bathroom mats, it’s not a perfect non-slip solution on all floor types. If you prioritise slip-resistance above all else, you may want to check the specific flooring in your room.

## Who it’s for
This mat suits households needing a generous surface area, particularly where feet welcome warmth and cushioning after a shower. It’s practical for bathrooms, but the size also makes it a usable option near the bath, sink, or even in nurseries or living spaces where you want a warm feel underfoot.

## Who it isn’t ideal for
If you have a very slippery floor or rely on minimal maintenance, you might prefer alternatives with stronger anti-slip surfaces or faster-drying materials. Also, if you want a rug that dries almost instantly after use, fabric-based mats typically take longer than more synthetic, quick-dry options.

## When it makes sense to buy
Consider this mat if you want a sizeable, soft surface that absorbs moisture and is easy to care for. It’s sensible for daily bathroom use and for a simple, no-fuss laundry cycle. If you value a large footprint in front of the shower, this model delivers on that front.

## What to check before you buy
Confirm your floor type and whether you prioritise a heavily oversized mat. Since the backing is TPR, ensure the mat is kept dry to maximise grip. Regular machine washing is encouraged, but use a gentle cycle and avoid high heat when drying.

## How it compares to common alternatives
In broad terms, you’ll find smaller, quicker-drying mats from other brands, but those often compromise on softness or absorption. If you want a bigger, cozier feel and don’t mind a longer dry time, this mat aligns with that approach. It sits between entry-level, simple mats and higher‑end plush options in terms of size and fabric heft.

## FAQ
- How should I wash it? Machine wash on cold with a mild detergent, air dry or line dry flat.
- Will it stay in place on a slick floor? The backing is designed to help with grip, but ensure the floor under it is dry for best results.
- Is it suitable for use outside the bathroom? Yes, its warmth and size can make it handy near sinks or in other rooms where you want a touch of softness underfoot.

## Final decision
Is it worth it? Worth considering if you prioritise a large, soft, absorbent mat with straightforward maintenance and a non-slip backing, and you don’t mind allowing a bit of extra drying time after use.
