## Description

## What it is
DEXI’s bath mat is a 50 x 80 cm rug designed to soften your step and protect bathroom floors from water drips. Made from 100% microfibre with a non-slip backing, it aims to offer a comfortable, practical solution for post-shower routines without resorting to bulky bath towels.

## Key features
This mat focuses on three practical benefits: comfort, absorption and stability. The dense microfibre helps to cushion feet as you step out, while its fast-absorbing fibres aim to keep moisture off the floor. The TP(R) backing is intended to resist slipping, so it should stay in place on dry, clean surfaces. It’s machine washable, which makes maintenance relatively straightforward and helps with hygiene.

## Tech specs
- Size: 50 x 80 cm
- Material: 100% microfibre
- Colour: White
- Backing: TPR for grip
- Care: Machine washable, air dry or tumble dry on low

## Practical use
Ideal for areas where water is common—bathroom floors, shower or bath edges, near sinks, and even in utility spaces like laundry rooms. In everyday use, you’ll likely notice a warmer feel underfoot when you step onto it and a quicker way to dry feet after a shower. A realistic caveat is that it depends on both the floor being dry to prevent slips and the mat’s position, if the mat slides or if water pools around the edges, you may need to re‑adjust or add a non-slip pad under the mat.

## Who it’s for
If you prioritise a soft surface underfoot and a simple, straightforward wash routine, this mat could fit well for a family bathroom, a nursery setup, or a guest bathroom where quick drying and low fuss are valued. It’s also a practical option for anyone who wants a quick-dry feel after bathing without choosing a thick pile rug that takes longer to dry.

## Limitations to consider
It may not be the perfect pick if your floor surface is frequently very wet and you need a mat with extreme anti-slip performance in such conditions. The effectiveness of the non-slip backing can be influenced by floor cleanliness and dryness, for very glossy tiles, a secondary grip solution might help. In terms of aesthetics, pure white can show marks more readily than darker colours, so it may require regular care to keep looking fresh.

## What to check before buying
- Confirm floor type and whether you anticipate frequent wet spots that require rapid evaporation.
- Consider how often you’ll run the machine wash cycle and whether the fibre texture holds up after repeated cycles.
- Think about compatibility with other bathroom textiles, a white rug often pairs with lighter schemes but can show wear sooner.

## Is it worth it?
A solid option if you want a straightforward, mid-range mat that prioritises comfort and easy maintenance over high-end spa features. It makes sense if you’re after an unobtrusive, practical rug to reduce puddling and to provide a warmer surface underfoot. It might not be the best choice if you need the ultimate anti-slip guarantee on particularly slippery floors or if you prefer a darker, stain‑hiding colour.

## Quick usage tip
Place the mat where you step out of the shower and near the sink to maximise drying time. If the mat starts to creep, try lining it with a non-slip pad or ensure the floor beneath is thoroughly dry before use.

## FAQ (brief)
- How should I wash it? Machine wash cold with mild detergent, then air dry or tumble dry on low.
- Will it slip on porcelain tiles? The backing is designed to reduce slipping, but ensure the floor is dry before use and adjust positioning if needed.
- Is it suitable for bath environments other than showers? Yes, it’s described as versatile for bathrooms, shower areas and near sinks, consider other locations where feet’ll benefit from warmth.

## Final thought
If you want a no-fuss bath mat that balances softness, absorbency and stability with easy cleaning, this DEXI option covers the basics well. It’s a practical everyday choice rather than a luxury purchase, and it suits homes where a calm, light aesthetic aligns with the bathroom interior.
