Deconovo Blackout Thermal Curtain 52 x 84 in 🪟

This thick thermal curtain from Deconovo combines blackout performance with a quilted microfiber lining to reduce draughts and block bright light, helping to improve sleep and lower temperature fluctuations in the room. It is a single-panel curtain sized 52 x 84 inches, suitable for bedrooms, living rooms or covered outdoor spaces where light control and insulation are needed.

Key Points

The panel features a double-layer construction with an outer blackout fabric and an inner quilted thermal layer, which together make the curtain heavier and more effective at reducing light and heat transfer. For light sleepers this curtain can help create a darker, quieter environment by limiting incoming light and muffling some external noise. 🪟

Care is straightforward but with a caveat. Hand washing is recommended and tumble drying should be avoided to preserve the quilted lining and the thermal properties, and the supplier states that the height is measured from the top of the eyelet. Consider that thick or heavy curtains may require a sturdy curtain pole and appropriate fixings for safe installation. ❄️

Usage Recommendations

Hang this curtain where you want both darker conditions and extra thermal insulation. It works well over bedroom windows to reduce morning light and on doors or large windows where heat loss is a concern. Allow sufficient clearance for the eyelets to slide freely on the pole and avoid overloading lightweight fittings with the heavier fabric. For daytime use, draw the curtain partially to balance natural light and insulation.

If noise reduction is an important requirement, keep in mind that the curtain will dampen sound but will not replace specialised acoustic treatments. For cleaning, spot-treat minor stains promptly and follow the recommended hand wash routine to maintain the insulating layers and quilted texture.
