## Description

## What it is
Cupboard Lights Motion Sensor 30CM is a USB-C rechargeable, 3-colour under-cabinet lighting kit designed to brighten kitchens, wardrobes and storage areas. It comes as a 3-pack and features a built-in 2200mAh battery, magnetic mounting and a slim aluminium frame for a tidy, unobtrusive look.

## How it works
The lights offer three temperature modes: 2700K Warm White for cosy evenings, 4500K Natural White for everyday tasks, and 6000K Cool White for precision work. The LEDs are dimmable from 10% to 100% and remember your last brightness setting. You can choose Always-On or Auto-Sensing mode. In Auto mode, the light detects motion within a broad 120° field up to 10 feet away in darkness and switches off about 25 seconds after movement ceases.

## What matters most
Durability and ease of installation are notable here. The magnetic mounting system lets you attach the light to metal surfaces instantly, while six magnetic pads and two screw kits expand options for non-metallic surfaces like wood, tile or glass. The USB-C rechargeability means fewer batteries and straightforward top-ups at home or on the go.

## Pros and cons
Pros:
- Three colour temperatures in one light, plus a dimmable range to suit different tasks and moods.
- Rechargeable with a relatively large 2200mAh battery, offering up to 11 hours of continuous light at full brightness and about 90 days in sensor mode with ~10 activations per day.
- Smart memory recalls the last brightness, saving you from fiddling with controls each time.
- Magnetic mounting plus included hardware makes installation quick on most surfaces.

Cons:
- Battery life figures are approximate and vary with brightness and usage patterns.
- Some users may prefer a model with a longer run-time between charges for very large instalments or low-access spaces.

## Who it’s for
If you want handy, flexible lighting in kitchens, cupboards, stairs or wardrobes, and you value hands-free operation, this set could fit well. It’s sensible for those who frequently cook, prep meals or organise spaces where lighting needs change with time of day.

## When it makes sense to buy
Choose this if you’re looking for compact, rechargeable under-cabinet lights that can adapt to multiple tasks and rooms without a constant power supply. The 3-pack is convenient for multiple install points (kitchen, pantry, wardrobe) or to upgrade several areas at once.

When to reconsider:
- If you require very long, uninterrupted operation between charges in a dimmable setting, you might prefer alternatives with either larger batteries or wired power.
- If you need a lighting solution that’s exclusively white or neutral without colour temperature options, this option still provides the three temps but consider your exact preference.

## What to check before buying
- Measure the installation surface to ensure the 30cm length fits your space.
- Decide whether magnetic mounting suffices, or you’ll rely on the screw-in option for a more permanent fix.
- Consider how often you expect to use motion-activation vs. Always-On, as this influences battery life expectations.

## How this compares to other approaches
For a quick upgrade, these rechargeable lights offer greater convenience than plug-in options, particularly in places without nearby sockets. If you prioritise continuous high-lumen lighting with no recharging, wired or higher-capacity solutions might be more suitable. If you value flexibility, auto-sensing with memory, and a compact form factor, this kit presents a balanced compromise.

## Is it worth it?
It is worth considering if you want a compact, rechargeable lighting solution with flexible temperatures and motion sensing, without the need for ongoing battery purchases. It suits spaces where you want occasional, task-focused lighting that’s easy to reposition.

## FAQ
- How long does the light run on a full charge at maximum brightness? Up to about 11 hours.
- Can I mount it on non-metal surfaces? Yes, using the included magnetic pads or the screw kits for wood, tile or glass.
- Does the light switch on automatically in the dark? Yes, in Auto-Sensing mode it activates on motion within 10 feet and 120° field, turning off after 25 seconds of no movement.
