## Description

## What it is
The COMFEE' 174L Freestanding Fridge Freezer (model RCB169WH2(E)) is a compact, A-class style appliance designed for everyday storage in smaller kitchens, studio flats and apartments. It combines a 115L fridge compartment with a 59L 4‑star freezer, delivering dedicated spaces for fresh goods and frozen essentials without dominating a compact footprint. The unit features Low Frost technology to cut down on ice build‑up and simplify maintenance, a quiet operation profile, and an LED interior light for easy viewing of contents.

## Key features
This model balances practical capacity with sensible design choices. Expect:
- 174L total capacity: 115L fridge + 59L freezer
- Low Frost to reduce ice build‑up and simplify cleaning
- 4‑star freezer capable of around -24°C for safe long‑term storage
- Quiet operation at 39dB and Energy Class E for everyday cooling needs
- Reversible door for flexible installation
- Adjustable glass shelves, a crisper drawer, and three freezer drawers for straightforward organisation
- Energy‑efficient use in a compact footprint

## What stands out
On the page, the standout is the combination of a compact footprint with defined zones for fresh and frozen goods, plus Low Frost to save you time defrosting and keep storage space usable. The fridge’s slim form helps it slot into smaller kitchens without sacrificing essential capacity or everyday practicality. The inclusion of an LED interior light and a reversible door adds convenience in tighter layouts.

## Who it’s for
This is likely a good fit for individuals or couples in smaller homes, renters, or anyone prioritising a straightforward, reliable fridge freezer that won’t dominate a room. If you prioritise low maintenance and predictable daily use over high-end cooling performance, this model aligns with those needs.

## When it makes sense to buy
Consider this fridge freezer if you want a compact unit that still keeps daily groceries organised with sensible storage zones. It’s appropriate if you value a quiet appliance and a minimal maintenance routine, thanks to Low Frost. It may suit households that don’t require extensive freezer space but still want frozen staples accessible in everyday life.

## When it might not be the best choice
If you need large, frequent freezer storage or the absolute latest energy efficiency, you could find a better option elsewhere. Also, with Energy Class E, it won’t be among the most economical in long-term running costs compared with higher‑rated models, so if energy bills are a strong consideration, you may want to compare alternatives.

## What to check before buying
- Confirm the door swing orientation works for your kitchen layout (reversible door helps with installation).
- Check the dimensions against your available space to ensure a comfortable fit and door clearance.
- Ensure the 174L capacity meets your weekly storage needs, noting the split between fridge and freezer compartments.
- Consider whether the 39dB noise level will sit comfortably in your living space, especially in open-plan homes.

## Practical use and comparisons
In practice, this unit represents a middle-ground approach: sufficient everyday cooling and freezer storage for small households, with a design that keeps maintenance manageable. If you’re comparing to larger or more feature-rich models, you’ll trade off freezer volume and possibly energy efficiency for compactness and price. For those who want a straightforward, no-fuss fridge freezer with a sensible layout, it can be a sensible fit.

## Usage tips
- Plan shelf arrangement around your weekly shop to keep commonly used items at eye level for quick access.
- Use the crisper drawer for fruit and veg to help maintain freshness in a small space.
- Take advantage of the LED light to keep contents visible, especially in dim kitchens.
- If you rearrange the kitchen or move homes, remember the door is reversible to adapt to your layout.

## FAQ
- How does Low Frost help me? It reduces the frequency of defrosting by limiting ice build‑up, saving you time.
- Is -24°C in the freezer safe for long‑term storage? Yes, a 4‑star freezer can reach temperatures suitable for long‑term frozen storage.
- Will this fit in a small kitchen? Yes, it’s designed for compact spaces while still offering distinct fridge and freezer zones.

## Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you need a compact, reliable fridge freezer with straightforward maintenance and sensible storage zones for everyday needs. It isn’t the best option if you require peak energy efficiency or substantial freezer space. If those are priorities, weigh against higher‑rated models and larger capacities.
