It adds extra cushioning for a newborn, helping to make a cosy, snug sleep space without changing the basket itself. Note that the liner is intended for Moses baskets and does not include the basket in the package. ## How it helps your baby On the page, the liner’s padding is aimed at increasing comfort for your newborn during naps and gentle daytime rest. While it isn’t a rigid safety feature, a softly padded liner can contribute to a more cushioned surface within a basket that’s already compact by design. The choice here hinges on adding a touch more softness to the baby’s environment rather than altering the basket’s structure. ## Why it’s worth considering on the surface Made in Great Britain with a long-standing history in baby bedding, the Clair de Lune liner is tied to a heritage of care and stitching. The fabric is described as being selected for your baby’s comfort and your peace of mind, with a practical touch: it’s machine washable at 40 degrees. For busy families, that level of convenience can matter when you’re dealing with everyday messes. ## What stands out and what may fall short What stands out is the focus on compatibility: a liner that fits standard palm and standard wicker Moses baskets, reducing guesswork if you already own one of these baskets. The upside is easier cleaning and a quick refresh for the baby’s resting space. A potential limitation is that the product is specifically made for Moses baskets, and the description notes the basket itself isn’t included or guaranteed beyond serving as a model—so you’ll need to assess how well it fits your exact basket model. ## Who it’s for This liner suits parents who use a Moses basket and want a bit more padding for their newborn, prioritising comfort and ease of care. If you already own a compatible basket and value a British-made product with established bedding know-how, it could be a sensible addition. ## Who it isn’t for If you’re looking for a liner that promises advanced safety features or a universal, one-size-fits-all design across many basket styles, this product may not meet those expectations. It’s described as fitting standard palm and wicker Moses baskets, so users with non-standard baskets or alternative bedding setups might need alternatives. ## When it makes sense to buy Consider this liner if you already have a Moses basket and want a simple, washable padding to improve comfort. The 40-degree machine wash capability means ongoing maintenance is straightforward, which can be valuable for regular use in early months. ## When you might want to pass If you require a liner with extra structural features or additional anti-slip properties, or if you use a basket outside the standard Palm/Wicker format, you may find it doesn’t address those needs. Also, as with any liner, remember it’s an accessory—not a substitute for attentive supervision and safe sleep practices. ## Quick checks before buying - Confirm your Moses basket is one of the standard palm or wicker types compatible with this liner. - Consider how often you plan to wash it and ensure 40 degrees fits your laundry routine. - Check how well the liner’s colour and material suit your baby’s skin and your home environment. ## How it compares in practice If you’re weighing options for adding padding, you’ll likely compare against plain liners or no liner at all. The value here is combining a recognised baby-bedding heritage with practical care: easy cleaning, UK-made provenance, and a targeted fit. It’s more about comfort and convenience than radical performance uplift, so it sits in the realm of sensible, everyday baby gear rather than aspirational premium. ## What you’ll notice in use In day-to-day use, you may appreciate the softer surface for short rests in the Moses basket and easier freshening up after spills or accidents. It’s not a miraculous upgrade, but for some families it translates into a calmer early nap space and simpler laundry cycles. ## Final decision ### Is it worth it? Worth considering if you prioritise a British-made, machine-washable padded liner that fits standard Moses baskets and adds a touch more comfort for a newborn. If your priorities lean toward maximum safety features or non-standard basket types, it may be worth exploring other options. ## FAQ - Will this liner fit my Moses basket?
