The Teal Blue and White Polka Dot design embodies a handmade, artisanal feel, with a generous handle and balanced weight geared towards relaxed family moments over a latte or tea. The cup is sized at 12oz (350ml) and is designed to sit comfortably under a coffee machine, making it a practical choice for everyday use. ## Design and craftsmanship Each piece is individually handmade and hand-painted, contributing to a distinctive texture and imperfect beauty that some would call part of its charm. The slightly uneven surface is intentional, mirroring traditional craft styles rather than a uniform factory finish. The design features teal blue and white with polka dot detailing, offering a decorative option that can sit nicely on the table alongside other tableware. ## Practical use and durability The cup is microwave and dishwasher safe, which reduces kitchen maintenance time and helps you get back to enjoying your drink or conversation. The generous handle and overall balance make it comfortable to hold, even when filled with a hot beverage. The mug is described as sturdy enough for daily family use, and its size suits longer drinks like lattes or cappuccinos. ## What to know before buying If you prioritise a perfectly uniform finish, this handmade approach will feel different from mass-produced alternatives. The texture and paint may vary slightly between pieces, which is typical for handmade ceramics. As with any ceramic item, care should be taken with thermal shocks (avoid sudden temperature changes). It’s also worth noting the styling may not appeal if you prefer minimalist, ultra-smooth surfaces. ## Who it’s for This cup is well suited to those who value character and a touch of artisanal charm in their kitchenware. It suits households that enjoy sharing drinks around a table, pairings with casual cafe-style coffee at home, or gifting to someone who appreciates handmade ceramics with a backstory. ## When it makes sense to buy Consider this piece if you want a large cup that looks handmade and supports a relaxed, homey dining experience. It works best for people who don’t mind slight variations in glaze or texture, and who want a durable cup that can go from microwave to dishwasher without fuss. ## When it may not be the best option If you need a perfectly uniform finish or a more minimalist aesthetic, this mug’s handcrafted texture might feel imperfect. It may also not be ideal for those who prefer lighter-weight mugs or very compact cups for small-handed use. ## What to check before purchasing Verify that you are comfortable with a handmade finish, ensure the size (12oz/350ml) matches your preferred drink portion, and confirm that you’re happy with the decorative polka dot style. If you’re buying as a gift, the unique handmade look can be a strong selling point, especially with the included design aesthetic. ## How this compares to other approaches If you value uniformity and mass-produced cleanliness, a standard ceramic mug might be more predictable. If you prefer a story behind the ware and a cup that stands out on the table, this City to Cottage piece offers a different vibe—more rustic charm than clinical perfection. It’s a sensible middle ground for someone seeking personality without sacrificing everyday practicality. ## Is it worth it? Final verdict: It makes sense if you’re drawn to handmade ceramics with a distinctive design and you want a sizeable mug for leisurely drinks. It might not be the best fit if you prioritise absolute uniformity or the lightest possible cup. ## FAQ - Is it dishwasher safe? Yes, it is described as dishwasher safe, which helps with everyday cleaning. - Can it be used in the microwave? The listing specifies Teal Blue and White with Polka Dot detailing, other colours aren’t mentioned here. ## Images ![City to Cottage Teal Blue and White Polka Dot Spotty – Large Hand Painted Ceramic Cup with Saucer \(12oz/350ml\) — 1](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/Td34O8AwObYT0fJATFXh6r7FQqAdkkjsoMKmH23H-ovhtO5wPIgtKx1nMF9gXaGipeXTc71hDMixZ0aB1yFi2yFGaQBHiZwSaxd33Qer4atgGC30Wf_cZa4r9A.jpg) ![City to Cottage Teal Blue and White Polka Dot Spotty – Large Hand Painted Ceramic Cup with Saucer \(12oz/350ml\) — 2](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/644WDWs6BycLUzbopDy_JJxpDrSmTqPO4BarcYTyc-gLg0El22Z4_uzW9apS59q9n92J8hbJIkgewuRxNmicJCY23zRtH8vuLWk69iiBYbb2wmLpAdacygT7zQ.jpg) ![City to Cottage Teal Blue and White Polka Dot Spotty – Large Hand Painted Ceramic Cup with Saucer \(12oz/350ml\) — 3](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/881Hztw5GS79QvJpMeceIZRW9o67MGPMb_LZVslqyFDfen2x4d3N7rlwdSQGZ_dNHUx4FHCyiBtweN7eozGHXv2pFCPOZGLEToJtYGLTbd8CPjxciWcuijoe8g.jpg) ![City to Cottage Teal Blue and White Polka Dot Spotty – Large Hand Painted Ceramic Cup with Saucer \(12oz/350ml\) — 4](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/4xAEbkAn5T5-ed4EsAqxG7qZqPNN2qPV8xbn3kccipst05p9nEggTXeIIcnGvnvEgWyF0xQUrelBrITHxq_JuuPLf97OV387VGXf0HIMpX6GiHDuSQTa1sgkDQ.jpg) ![City to Cottage Teal Blue and White Polka Dot Spotty – Large Hand Painted Ceramic Cup with Saucer \(12oz/350ml\) — 5](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/FjAqDaBQv0uzr5DO2x4CsGHc3UXBzmbjcHPvv8q2VurKQ_usw8HQV5eTdA6z3bWl4wtA-ScLFlHsco_UEKVv9AVYlCAW7qxnevWbHVJJBpoYw1QJUaJ6i1I0CQ.jpg)
