## Description

## What this is
BIC Velleda 1721 Whiteboard Pens in blue, supplied as a box of 24. They mimic the feel of a marker while delivering dry-erase performance suitable for classrooms, homes and work surfaces. On paper, they’re pitched towards school use, but the practical design makes them handy for anyone doing frequent whiteboard work.

## How it behaves in use
The nib is fixed and non-retracting, offering a predictable line without worrying about collapsing tips. The ink is designed to erase with ease, not only right away but also after a few days of use. For busy days or longer tasks, this reliability matters because you’re less likely to be stuck with stubborn marks. The pens are odourless, which is a small but welcome detail for spaces shared by children or multiple users.

## Best fits and limits
If your needs include frequent short notes, quick diagramming, or classroom explanations, these Velleda pens can keep up. They’re shaped like markers, so the grip and control feel familiar to younger users while offering a somewhat broader line than typical fine-tip whiteboard pens. If you expect very fine detail or permanent legibility under bright lighting, you may find they don’t push as sharply as some premium alternatives.

## Who it’s for
This box is convenient for schools, homes or offices where there are several everyday whiteboard tasks—planning, brainstorming, or teaching sessions. It suits households with kids who are practising writing on a whiteboard or students needing a reliable marking option for group work.

## What to check before buying
Consider whether your main requirement is easy erasure after days, a non-retracting nib for consistent lines, or odour-free use in multi-user spaces. If you prioritise very fine lines or a particular ink brightness, you might want to compare with other finishes or tip styles. Also, note that this is a blue colour option, for other needs you’d need to source additional colours or packs.

## How it compares to other approaches
For quick, low-fuss whiteboard writing, a fixed-nib dry erase pen can be more convenient than refillable markers or solvent-based options, especially where children are involved. If your use-case involves heavy daily writing or frequent re-writes, the Erasability claim is worth testing in day-to-day scenarios to confirm it meets your expectations.

## What you’ll notice day to day
In practice, the Velleda 1721 pens are straightforward to use: similar feel to a marker, predictable line width, and simple cleaning from typical whiteboards. The odourless nature helps in smaller rooms or after-school study corners where odour can become noticeable.

## The decision: Is it worth it?
Is it worth it? If you want a practical, widely available blue dry-erase option that erases well and is easy for kids to handle, this box of 24 could be a sensible choice. It may not be the best option if you need ultra-fine lines or a highly saturated blue for colour-critical tasks. A solid pick if you Prioritise reliability and ease for everyday classroom or home-use, rather than high-end performance.

## FAQ
- Do these pens require any special surface or cleaner? They are designed for standard whiteboards, usual dry-erase cleaners are typically suitable.
- Will the nib retract or wear down quickly? The nib is fixed/non-retracting, designed to maintain a steady tip under writing pressure.
- How long will the ink stay visible after writing? The ink is advertised as erasable immediately and after a few days, though real-world results can vary with board condition.
